Suresh, in India for five years, Jonathan was introduced to the ancient system of progressively opening and stren

gthening through kriya and kapalabhati techniques. Jonathan is the only Westerner to bring this system to the West and to have further developed it to make yoga accessible to all body types--accelerating the opening, strengthening, and energizing of all bodies within a short period of time. Jonathan lived in San Diego, California where he has a loyal following of successful Bheemashakti practitioners.

From Yin to Yang (Link in Biography)

Friday December 19th– Sunday December 21st · Cascadel Woods/North Fork

Three days at the threshold of winter. We gather to mark the longest night and work with the concept of the spiral—moving from the periphery toward center, then returning outward with what we’ve learned.

This is a space to examine what you carry, release what no longer serves, and prepare for what’s ahead.

Structure

Friday Evening

Arrival by 4pm

We open with movement and gong bath led by Fairlight—a clearing practice to transition from daily life into focused work. Dinner follows.

Neika introduces the breath work methodology that anchors the weekend.

Saturday

Morning (8–11am): We begin with asana and breath work, then move into Angela’s teaching on the Eight Extraordinary Channels—meridian pathways that influence core patterns and long-held beliefs. This module provides the foundational understanding for the afternoon’s deeper breath work.

Midday meal. Afternoon open for solitude, walking, rest.

Evening (4–6:30pm): The central work of the weekend. Neika leads an extended breath work session—the actual descent into the spiral’s center. Using the framework from the morning’s teaching, we work with breath as a portal to altered states of consciousness and access what typically remains dormant. This is where we meet what is ready to be released. The session is sustained and deep, requiring the full container we’ve built together.

Dinner

Sunday

Morning (6.30–9am): Integrating acoustic sound with instruments from around the world, dreaming and storytelling with Sumeet Banerji. We work with what has emerged and begin the movement back outward.

We close the container. Final meal. Departure by noon.

Step into a transformative five-day retreat where ancient wisdom meets modern healing practices. This unique immersion weaves together GROF® Breathwork, yoga, Chinese medicine, and acupuncture, creating a sacred space for deep personal exploration and renewal. At the heart of this retreat lies GROF® Breathwork, a powerful method of self-exploration that induces deep holotropic states of expanded consciousness. Through accelerated breathing, evocative music, and focused bodywork, participants access multiple levels of human experience - from biographical memories to transpersonal realms. Each session is conducted with trained facilitators who support participants throughout their journey, followed by integration through expressive arts therapy, movement and group sharing. This transformative practice often leads to profound personal insights, reduced anxiety, enhanced spiritual connectedness, and a deeper sense of inner peace.
