Renegade San Diego's #1 Group Fitness Gym Renegade Fitcamp is not your mainstream group training workout. We are not a Bootcamp. Every workout is NOT a full-body workout.

We are not CrossFit, and we are not a traditional circuit training operation. At Renegade Fitcamp, our workout is strategically designed to stimulate muscle response and growth, tax the cardiovascular system, and generate a calorie-burning furnace. With our multi-component setup, Renegade ensures each energy system of the body will be pushed to its limits by using cardiovascular techniques of HIIT

(high-intensity interval training), LISS (low-intensity steady state), and progressive overload of muscle groups, implementing a proper activation/recovery split on a seven day period. From Air Runner treadmills to air bikes, battle ropes, bodyweight suspension, and free weights, our workouts will burn ample calories, but most importantly give each muscle enough focus to ignite a response.

Calling all Renegades! 🏴‍☠️ Let's dive into the TRX and unlock its incredible potential. This versatile piece of equipment might be new to some of you, so here are a few tips to get the most out of your workout:

1️⃣ The angle matters! For movements like rows or biceps curls, the closer you are to the anchor point (the mirror), the more challenging it becomes. If a particular movement isn't working for you, try taking a step back or forwards and see if that adjustment helps.

2️⃣ Intensity overload? No worries! You can always ask your coach for a modification. Two great options are the kickstand position for biceps curls or a split stance position for TRX extensions. Start at your peak and gradually adjust your feet until you find your perfect range of motion.

3️⃣ Keep the tension constant. You've probably heard your coaches emphasizing this. To avoid loose straps, maintain a strong "plank position in the sky" and resist the temptation to swing yourself up.

4️⃣ Need more assistance? Don't hesitate to reach out to one of your coaches. They're here to help you succeed!

Renegade Nation 🏴 you’ve all shown up day in and day out this first month of the new year, we’re talking sold out classes throughout the day, throughout each studio! We don’t plan on slowing down any time soon as we head into this second month of 2023, but as well all know, as the year goes by, we can start to forget our intentions, goals, “new years resolutions,” etc. What’s your reason for showing up each day and holding yourself accountable? Renegades! Do you know how to pace yourself? What about what you’re actually getting out of these different efforts and how they should feel? Here’s some insight-

Base pace- 40-50% effort. This is the best pace to enhance recovery. (Should be able to speak freely in this pace)

Stride- 50-70% effort will help you build your endurance and up your overall base pace. 50-70% is where you’ll start to develop more of your anaerobic capacity (should feel breathless every other word)

Sprint- 70-90% really tests your anaerobic capacity (shouldn’t even be able to get a word out)

Max effort/unloads- 90-100%, now you’re training speed and power 😤
