Why the Right People Change Everything...

I was recently reminded—again—why community matters so much. This teaching came from Mark Cole, CEO of Maxwell Leadership, and it made me think—in the best way.
He broke down what truly makes a great community, and as I listened, I found myself quietly saying, Yes. That’s it. That’s what we all long for.
1. A Community That Celebrates You
It celebrates who you are today—your story, your gifts, your progress, even the unfinished parts.�The payoff here is value. You feel seen. You feel appreciated. You know you matter.
And let’s be honest—when you’re celebrated, you show up differently.
2. A Community That Stretches You
Now, this one can be uncomfortable—but it’s essential.
A healthy community doesn’t let you stay stuck. It challenges your thinking. It raises the bar. It lovingly says, “I see more in you.”
The payoff? Growth.�Not pressure. Not shame. Growth that comes from being surrounded by people who believe you can become more.
3. A Community That Inspires You
You know you’re in the right room when someone else’s courage wakes something up inside you.
A great community inspires you—not through comparison, but through possibility. You leave encouraged, reminded that you’re not alone, and that forward motion is possible.
The payoff here is encouragement—and we all need more of that.
4. A Community That Sustains You
This one goes deeper.

I also know there are women here who are writing—or have written—a Christian faith-based book and may be quietly carrying that dream on their own.

If that’s you, I want you to know this:�you don’t have to do it alone.
There is a growing, faith-centered writing community where women encourage one another, pray for each other, and help each other move from “someday” to “it’s finally done.”
