The hardest truth that no one will tell you about success…

Is that YOU have to believe you’re good enough first.

YOU have to believe in yourself and your skills and your talent and your ideas and your art so fully and so completely - that is almost doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.

You have to believe in yourself FIRST.

Because if you’re walking into those audition rooms, those interviews, those business meetings, those opportunities WAITING for someone to TELL you you’re good enough?

It’s never going to happen.

Because if you don’t believe you’re good enough - then why should anyone else?

Success is internal.
Worthiness is decided.
Talent must be owned.

And it’s the hardest, but most important thing to realize - and to take ACTION on - if you’re consistently not getting the results that you want.

So - take a step back and be honest with yourself: Do you believe you’re good enough?

Do you honestly believe that you have what it takes to be in those rooms, on those stages, in those meetings, at that level?

If the answer is no - then this is where the work MUST happen first.

But the good news is - just like riding a bike - confidence and self-belief are LEARNED skills (I learned that from Brian Tracy YEARS ago!)

Confidence comes from self-awareness. From complete self-understanding (because you can’t be confident in something you don’t fully know inside and out, right?). From knowing EXACTLY what you bring you to the table and how to deliver it. And to be able to live authentically in that self-knowledge every single moment.

My wish for you: Go where you are loved. 💗

I was listening to a podcast the other day interviewing Broadway legend Kate Baldwin, who recently finished a run starring as Roxie Hart in Chicago on , and she shared this piece of advice that she has really taken to heart over the last several years .

Since I heard her say this, it has really stayed with me. Because while - yes - we can be ambitious, goal-oriented, relentless pursuers of our own dreams, and strive to break into new arenas and forge new connections to uplevel our success… there’s also SO much value and power in going where you are ALREADY loved. Where people are already asking for you, inviting you in with open arms, where things just feel easy.

So where is that for you? Where do people light up when they see you walk in the room? Where are you loved and how can you choose to intentionally spend more time and energy there? That's my wish for you for February 💖

I have not been able to stop thinking about this quote since I first heard it last week during one of Robin Arzon’s Peloton classes:

“The magic you seek is in the work you’re avoiding.”

As soon as I heard her say this, it was like a gut punch. Because I knew EXACTLY “the work I had been avoiding” and how it was holding me back from “the magic I am seeking.”

Chances are - you probably do too.

For me - there is a goal, a level of greatness that I am striving for in my career. And there is one “thorn in my side,” one aspect of the skill and talent NECESSARY for greatness that I consistently neglect. Because it will be hard for me to work on it. Because it requires vulnerability. Because it requires me CONFRONTING the thing that I am not best at (and also have some deeply embedded limiting beliefs around). And because I consistently find reasons NOT to put in the work I need to on this topic.

This is the work I’m avoiding.

And it’s also the very thing I KNOW will lead to the magic I’m seeking.

Today. That changes. Today we work on the things that scare us. We commit to doing the work. Because we DESERVE the magic we’re seeking - but not unless we put in the WORK to get it 💪🏻✨

This weekend, I celebrated my 36th birthday 🥳✨

And, if I’m being honest, with some relief. Because 35 was the hardest year of my life.

The highs were so much higher - my commercial career took off. I had my first Broadway auditions, took multiple trips to NYC for auditions, and had callbacks for dream roles. I started selling my highest dollar amount coaching programs ever.

But the lows were also so much lower. I went through the deepest period of grief that I have ever experienced after losing Kona so unexpectedly and so quickly, and went to a place I have never been before. To be honest, I am still navigating my way through it.

And yet, I remain hopeful. I remain expectant and trust that 36 will be my best year yet, full of even higher highs and the achievement of major goals and dreams. I am so, so grateful for the growth I experienced this year, and know that I am on the cusp of a brand new level of opportunity. I also remain deeply committed to my belief that “You are not too old, and it is not too late.”

36, I am ready for you 🩷✨

Feeling re-centered and RESTED after a much needed long weekend in Palm Springs 😅 (I even napped - twice! Can you believe it? 😂)

I’m coming out of this long weekend with a renewed focus on my GOALS and a sharp realization that perhaps I’ve gotten a little complacent with my “daily action” to get myself there.

Remember: If you take the same actions over and over again, you’re going to get the same results.

“Nothing changes if nothing changes.”

Last week, I was invited to New York for for the lead role in a National Tour (I’m still pinching myself that I even get to say that 🥹)

I learned SO much from this experience (head to my TikTok for a full recap video!), and despite not booking the job THIS time around 😼 I made the most of my time in by attending several other auditions as well.

At one , I dropped off my headshot & resume with a short "elevator pitch" for myself and why they should bring me in. I posted this elevator pitch on Instagram and received an OVERWHELMING amount of responses and questions about this tactic! 😅

"Did you write this?"
"WOW! How did you come up with this?"
"This is so bold!"
"I LOVE this."
"This is perfect for you!"

And frankly - I was kind of surprised at how many people were... surprised by this strategy! Because I feel that everyone - no matter what industry you work in or WHAT kind of job you are looking to obtain - should have what I like to call a "two-sentence brand story" 😎 A short, two-sentence (ish) articulation of YOUR unique value and story!
