PARENT PLAYBOOK | COMMITMENT TAKES COORDINATION
We know family calendars are full.
Many LSBA families are balancing school, work, multiple children, different teams and more than one practice or game schedule. We see the effort it takes to make everything work—and we appreciate it.
At the same time, accepting a place on a team means making a commitment to that team.
Coaches plan practices around the players who are expected to attend. Teammates need shared reps to communicate, build chemistry and prepare for games. When attendance is consistent, the entire team has the opportunity to develop and compete at its best.
Before the season begins:
• Save your player’s team schedule.
• Check the first-practice date.
• Review all locations and highlighted exceptions.
• Communicate known conflicts as early as possible.
• Recheck the schedule before leaving for practice.
No family schedule is simple. Planning ahead and communicating early make a real difference.
Every player is part of the plan. Show up for the team.
