San Clemente Mountain Bike Team This is the official site for the San Clemente High School Mountain Bike Team. We compete in the SoC

The San Clemente Mountain Bike Team is back for its second season after a successful debut in 2016. The riders and coaches are expecting another rewarding spring of training and racing. As interest grew, the team expanded to include middle school student athletes in addition to the high school level. The team competes in the SoCal League which is part of the National Interscholastic Cycling Associ

ation, one of the fastest growing organizations youth sports. While the team is not yet affiliated with the schools, the members are all students of SCHS and local middle schools and are coached by a teacher with a dedicated staff of volunteers who share the goal of growing cycling in the community.

The JV guys performed well in their first race of the 3 lap distance. Jack finished a respectable 9th contending with his tires slowly deflating. Thomas, Justin, and Caden picked up where the progress of last season left off and adapted well to pushing themselves past the hour mark of hard racing. Looking forward to great performances to come as this group grows into the JV level.
