TILES & SMILES – THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 7!

Shorecliffs Beach Club Members:

Join us this Sunday, June 7, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM and create a one-of-a-kind tile for our new community beach club tile wall. This is your chance to become a permanent part of Shorecliffs history!

We’ll provide everything you need:

• 6” x 6” ceramic tiles
• Paints and brushes
• Stencils and decorations

After the event, all tiles will be professionally glazed and installed at the club for everyone to enjoy for years to come.

💲 $30 per tile

🌊 Restore the Shore Beach Clean-Up – Sunday, April 26 | 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM

From Board Director Diane Wenzel:

Let’s come together as a community to care for our treasured beach! Picking up trash is important—but we’re also turning this into a fun event for all ages.

Participants will have a chance to win a FREE SUP or kayak rental voucher from Westwind Sailing, plus other prizes!

🧤 Safety First:
• Wear gloves when handling debris
• Be cautious with sharp or broken items
• Ask for help when lifting heavy objects

🧺 What to Bring:
• Water in a reusable container
• A reusable bag or bucket for collecting trash
• Sunscreen and a hat
• Closed-toe shoes or sneakers
• Reusable gloves (gardening gloves work great!)

🌱 Friendly Reminders:
• Leave natural items like driftwood or seaweed
• Avoid stepping on dunes
• Respect local wildlife
• Watch your step near dune plants

Thank you for pitching in! This is a perfect community service opportunity for kids—and a meaningful way for all of us to help protect and preserve our beautiful shoreline.

Our first Shorecliffs Super Bowl Par-Tay was a touchdown with the extra point because San Clemente’s own Sam Darnold was the hero of the hour! It was so enjoyable to open up the club for this special moment for our little beach community. Our former SCHS quarterback phenom did it. I tried to capture as many of you fans in this video as I could, but so many people were coming and going. SAM-Clemente is proud of you, Sam! Shorecliffs came together in your honor. Whoop, there it is!

Four Board Directors Re-elected and One Resident Newly Elected to Two-Year Terms.

Please join us in congratulating the four re-elected board directors—Kumi Elston, Chris Wade, Tobias Halbmaier, and Frank Wilbur—and the newly elected board director, Mel Wygal, on securing two-year terms in the 2026 election conducted by Shorecliffs homeowners. The Inspector of Elections certified the results on Monday, January 26, 2026.

We extend our sincere appreciation to former board director Alison Anawalt for her dedicated service and leadership in overseeing the operations and welfare of the beach club during her two terms of service.

We also acknowledge and thank residents J. Terrence Dempsey and Peter Onken for their participation in the election process. We encourage their continued involvement and service to the community, as their commitment and engagement are greatly valued.

Please be advised that staff will post the official election results at the clubhouse in accordance with the Association’s bylaws.
