New Tile Wall Is Up! One More Chance to Add Yours.

Our new tile wall is officially up, and it looks amazing! Great job, everyone!

We know many of our residents didn’t get a chance to create a family tile during our Tiles & Smiles event back in June. Due to popular demand, Board Director Cale Foreman is offering Shorecliffs Beach Club members one more opportunity this season to become a permanent part of Shorecliffs Beach Club history.

This time it will be by reservation only. Tiles must be preordered and prepaid to secure your spot at our next Tiles & Smiles painting event in October.

Only 30 tiles will be available.

We’ll provide everything you need:

6” x 6” ceramic tiles
Paints and brushes
Stencils and decorations
Bring your creativity and design something special that represents your family and your connection to Shorecliffs.

Labor Day BBQ Bash Cancelled

Due to forecasted rain, hazardous swells & rip currents, and a flooded catwalk, our Labor Day BBQ Bash scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, has been cancelled.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but the SBC Board felt this was the right decision in the best interest and safety of our community.

Volunteers Needed Tomorrow!

Residents will be meeting at the Club tomorrow at 10:30 AM to fill sandbags and help shore up the Club in preparation for the large swell and extreme tide conditions associated with Hurricane Marie, expected to impact us Sunday, September 6 through Tuesday, September 8.

Residents Ben and Larry have built sandbag-filling tubes that make the process much faster and easier. With our new system, we can fill approximately 75 bags in just 30 minutes!

If you’d like to help, bring gloves and a friend! Many hands make quick work, and we greatly appreciate everyone who pitches in to help protect our Club.

COURTS CLOSED UNTIL THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, DUE TO SAFETY HAZARD

For everyone’s safety, the pickleball/paddle courts are temporarily CLOSED due to a downed wire and light pole fixture inside the courts.

Repairs are being made this afternoon, and the courts will remain closed until the work is complete and the area is safe to reopen.

On a brighter note — the playground looks amazing! The entire playground has been completely refurbished and freshly painted, and it looks like new! The rusted bench has also been removed.

The playground is OPEN, and the swings will reopen tomorrow afternoon.

Thank you for your patience while we get everything repaired, refreshed, and ready to enjoy!

🎶 JUST ADDED! Band on the Sand – THIS Saturday, August 22! 🎶

We’ve got a surprise Band on the Sand for you this weekend!

Shorecliffs resident Kirk Morgan and his band, Hole in the Fence, have offered to play for their neighbors this Saturday, August 22, from 5–8 PM!

They’re a local favorite, bringing a great mix of classic rock and blues with the perfect laid-back vibe for an evening of soulful sounds by the sea.

Bring your beach chair, some chow to throw on the grill, and the whole fam. Kick back, enjoy the sunset, and catch an extra Band on the Sand right here at the Club.

MEET OUR JULY EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH: JACK JUKIC!

We are very excited to announce that Jack Jukic has been named the Shorecliffs Beach Club Employee of the Month for July.

July is by far our busiest month, and our entire staff worked incredibly hard. With so many great employees having outstanding shifts and weeks, the competition was tough — but Jack really stood out this past month.

Whenever we needed extra help, Jack was one of the first to volunteer. He even worked two double shifts back-to-back during one of our busiest stretches! He consistently looks for opportunities to grab more hours, help his coworkers, and do whatever is needed to keep the Club running smoothly.

Jack is also genuinely curious and eager to learn. He asks questions, wants to understand how things work, and is always looking for ways he can help make the Beach Club better for everyone.

MEET OUR JACK OF ALL TRADES:

🎓 What school do you attend, and what grade are you in?
I go to San Clemente High School, and I’m a sophomore.
🔬 What is your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject is science.
🏀 Are you involved in any sports or other activities?
I play basketball at San Clemente High School.
🌊 What are your favorite hobbies?
I like to boogie board and play basketball.
☀️ What do you like best about working at the Club?
I like being so close to the beach and getting to enjoy the wonderful weather.
🎶 Do you have a favorite shift or Beach Club event?
My favorite events at the Beach Club are the band nights because I like listening to the music while I work.
🐾 What are your future plans?
I want to go to college and become a veterinarian.
💡 Is there anything you’d like to improve upon or any ideas you have that could make the Club better?
I’d like to talk to more families and get to know them better. I also think having more volunteers for big projects would help improve the Beach Club.

Jack truly is our “Jack of All Trades” — hardworking, dependable, curious, and always willing to jump in wherever he’s needed. We appreciate the energy, effort, and great attitude he brings to every shift, and we’re lucky to have him on our Beach Club team.
