I-37 Speedway Autism Awareness Night Recap for the Fast Lane Cupcakes 43 Tuner driven by me, Shaylee Edwards.
First getting back to the dirt had me really excited and pumped up. Started heat 2 outside pole and been fell back quickly off the start and then guess I was in someone’s way and got turned around, recovered but then lost the pack to catch. Finished fourth put me starting 8th in the main. Felt good about the car and then lost it between 3 and 4. After regaining again lost the pack but started making progress. Once I picked off a couple cars was trying hard to make contact with a fellow racer however out of turn 4 he hit a rut losing control into the line I committed and boom, took out my steering knuckle. Took it to the infield and we are already ready for the next event thank to my amazing crew of Dad and Freddy getting her back together. Thank You Freddy for all your help this weekend before and after the races. It truly meant the world.
Though my momma had a worse night than I breaking her ankle, we are ready to be back May 30th.
Thank you to those that have helped me and supported me in this hobby of mine.
