Big Red and Barbacoa 5K Let's come together to enjoy a delicious treat that All of San Antonio and Texas loves; Big Red and Last year we had our inaugural Big Red and Barbacoa 5K.

Big Red and Barbacoa has been a local San Antonio staple for years. Come join us for a run down the Salado Greenway and enjoy delicious Big Red and Barbacoa at the after party. Help us raise funds for the SA Eagles Athletics Club. SA Eagles Athletics Club is a nonprofit organization designed to expose our youth to the sport of track & field and running in general. The business activity for said or

ganization is as follows: We will encourage, facilitate, and sponsor individuals from an underserved area of San Antonio with large populations of low socio-economic and at risk populations to receive professional training and athletic development in the areas of running in general, and Track & Field (Athletics). This will be geared towards all ages. Our main focus is the development of proper form and technique in athletics-running, jumping, and throwing- as these are the basis for all sports. It was also designed to have less of a financial burden on parents and athletes. Finally, and most important reason is to have fun.

As many of you know, our mission is to raise funds that help underserved youth participate in running by covering race entries, providing training opportunities, and purchasing equipment and gear they need to succeed.
We’re excited to help promote a new 5K that will benefit the Brackenridge Cross Country Team! This is an affordable event that includes a finisher medal for every participant.
Not ready for a full 5K? Grab two friends and join the 3-person relay, where each runner completes approximately one mile.
The race will be held on August 1st, and we would love your support. Please consider signing up, sharing the event, or passing it along to cross country athletes as they begin preparing for their upcoming season.
