Resilience is in all of us. Consistency, perseverance, drive, all of these things are obtainable. The question is, will you at least try. Obviously you will give it a shot, tell yourself it’s a new year and you’re ready which is applaudable but will you try to KEEP GOING.

Challenge yourself to keep going.

Growth should never stop, and neither should you.

Changing the way you eat isn’t dieting. Changing the way you think about food isn’t researching the next fad diet.
Wanting to feel better physically, and emotionally does not require you to diet.

Start small.

Society has made a norm out of eating junk food over healthier foods. Society has also put the impression on healthier foods being more expensive. Which btw is not the case at all. The most it costs is the time it takes to cook the foods.

Add more greens to your dinner or maybe have one less scoop of your favorite ice cream.

In my household, we have cut dairy and are slowly but surely starting to cut out processed food. I can tell you honestly that it’s not some type of diet but a choice to live healthier; to feel better.

Long story short - don’t hurt your body by drastically changing your eating habits to quickly. Take your time, experiment with what works best for you and as always BE WELL AND FEEL BETTER!!

To all the homies in the place with style and grace…

Coach surgery went great! His current heal time is 4-6 weeks before he can start rehab BUUUT he will begin to teach classes again in 2 more weeks! Coach is still down on bed but his fiancé will be there and Coach will be living through her vicariously. The gym will still always be open, classes just won’t be ran like they normally are with him.

Thank you for the support and keep on moving!!

We started out with a light run. Medium to heavy warmup. 3 sets, different count reps for 5 exercises, followed by a weighted team run. The remaining 5 exercises, followed by another weighted (X2) team run to finish the night.

In the air in a few!

It’s been 2 years since I’ve had a vacation (and this ones with the other half). While it is a vacation, we both still brought our gear to get our workouts in. Not out of obligation but because it’s become apart of our recreation. Don’t put so much weight (pun) on working out! If you miss a day, don’t try to make it up. (That’s not how muscles work).

Enjoy the fun, knock out a solid session with a workout partner or by yourself. Regardless, HAVE FUN!!!
