Last weekend we had our Annual Zack James Tournament

What is the Zack James Tournament? It’s a chance for us to Honor Zack every year.
Zack was a member of our Griffin family, he was a great example of living life in the moment. He was a leader and mentor on and off the field. We still miss him to this day.
To honor him, we do a sixes style tourney and split our team into four and they battle it out. It’s also a time that family and friends will come and watch as we honor Zack. At the end of the tourney, zacks family will announce which sophomore on our team received the Zack James Scholarship which is voted on by his teammates on who embodies what Zack did. This year it was awarded to Lucas Sagaser! Once a Griffin always a Griffin, we love this family! Let’s go and Honor Zack! LLZ! Bring the juice!

Next up is Miles Schwartz!

Miles is from Denver Colorado and played at Denver South High School! Miles was an All State Honorable Mention defender as well as being named All League! He was a 4 year varsity player for Lacrosse and Basketball and he was a Captain in both sports!! At Denver South he was awarded the High School Athlete of the year! As far as Lacrosse goes he was the LSM of the year! Miles also ran cross country and was a director of school spirit and culture! We are stoked that he is a Griffin! Welcome to the purple and gold family!

Next up is Ryan Silva!

Ryan is from San Clemente California and played at Santa Margarita Catholic High School! Ryan is a 3 time all league defender! He also made the all county team as well! In 2024 he was the defensive player of the year on his team! Ryan also holds the school record at Santa Margarita for Caused Turnovers! Ryan was also the Recipient of Santa Margarita’s Award of Excellence for Physics as well as being a 4 year Scholar Athlete! We are stoked that he is a Griffin! Welcome to the purple and gold family!

Next Up Charlie Phelps!

Charlie is from Tacoma Washington and played at Curtis High School! Charlie was a 3 time team Captain at Curtis! He was also a 3 time all League Defender! Then Charlie also does really well in the classroom and was a National Honors student! He joins his brother George here at Westminster! We are stoked to have him be a Griffin! Welcome to the purple and gold family!

Next up Hank Osterberger!

Hank is from Boise Idaho and played at Timberline High School! Hank was a 2 time team captain and a 2 time Idaho state champ! He also helped lead his team to an undefeated season his SR year! Hank represented Idaho at the New Balance All American games playing on the Southwest team! We are stoked to have him be a Griffin! Welcome to the purple and gold family!

Next Up Charley Nauheim!

Charley is from Lake Oswego, Oregon and played at Lakeridge High School! Charley was a 2 time 1st team all conference player as well being a 2 time 2nd team All State defenseman! He was part of a historic high school defense that only allowed 2.7 goals a game! He also helped lead the team to a 21-1 season finishing off his SR year with an Oregon State Championship! We are stoked that he is a Griffin! Welcome to the purple and gold family!

Next Up Jake Bloom!

Jake is from San Diego, California and went to Cathedral Catholic High School! Jake was a 4 year Varsity Starter at CC as well as being a team captain! He was a 3 time all league defenseman and was awarded 1st Team All CIF! At Cathedral he was the Defensive Player of the year as well as being a 4 time Scholar athlete! Jake was also a starter for the football team which was one of the top teams in California! We are stoked the he is a Griffin! Welcome to the purple and gold family!

It’s time to introduce the Newest Griffins! First up is Kaydin Berry!

Kaydin is from West Haven, Utah and played at Fremont High school. He was a 4 time All Region player and 3 time All State Player! He was also a 2 time team captain and lead his team to a state championship appearance! He is also an excellent student and was an Academic All American! Kaydin finished his high school career with 350 points and 119 of those points were during his SR season. We are stoked that he is a Griffin! Welcome to the purple and gold family!
