Utah State FairPark Barrel racing is proud to be in its 8th year in 2020.
We do not have a membership.
15/40- 4D Format: Must be 15 and under or over 40 as of Jan 1, 2018. 1D fastest time, 2D +0.5 second, 3D+ 1 second, 4D + 2 seconds.
OPEN 5D Format: Open to everyone- 1D Fastest time, 2D +0.5 second, 3D +1 second, 4D +1.5 seconds, 5D +2seconds
Shoot-out race-Open to everyone.
Draws: You need to enter before 4 pm the day before the race to be in the draw, please use the google form or email [email protected]
If you can’t make it into the office to pay before your run. Call/ txt or send someone to the office to let us know you are at the race. 385-288-1862
Otherwise you may lose your spot in the draw.
Draw positions: If you are at the end of a draw at a race. Please be ready in case we need to move you up to finish the race as quickly as possible
Draw Outs: If you need to draw out please text/call. After 3 no shows/ no calls to scratch, you will be placed at the end of the draws for the rest of the season. Draw outs that happen at the race will be rolled past.
Timer Malfunction: If we do not get your time, you will have the option of either running again or getting a full refund.
Knocked over barrel is a No Time (NT)
Time Onlys: LIMITED TO 50 TIME ONLYS. Each Time Only has 60 sec. A Trot or faster. $5 EACH, CASH AT THE GATE.
3 minute gate rule. If your horse has a problem entering the arena & takes longer than 3 minutes after your name is called, you will be t/o or placed at the end. If you have a horse that has gate issues-please let us know when you sign up for the jackpot and we will work with you.
Co-Sanctioned races: You pay $3 per run per horse to have your points count for the RMBRA Year End Awards

Utah State Fairpark: has a no tolerance policy for abuse of your horses. There will be no excessive schooling on horses before, during or after your run.
Arena Etiquette - please be courteous to others when you are warming up. Remember everyone wants to get warmed up and ready to run.
Any un-sportsmanship like conduct will be given a warning and the next time you could be ask to leave.
