Gave it everything I had out there tonight!

And I had an absolute blast out there on course!
Truly, this race was so much fun.

Thank you so much for all the support and cheers!

8 seasons in and still finding things to work on.
Looking forward to putting some finishing touches into training and giving my all for the final test in Stockholm at World Championships 🥰

Evening start times can be challenging to figure out how to make sure we have enough fuel in our bodies before we hit the start line.

I’m constantly making tweaks each time to try and dial in the best strategy for my body.

Fueling for our mixed doubles with weekend my approach was the following:

- normal breakfast with coffee
- Split lunch into two meals. 1/2 a little earlier than normal lunch time. And 1-2 about 2 hours later
- Mid afternoon snack
- Banana
- 1/2 serving of bicarb

At the venue:
- Maurten 160 carb powder - with an extra gel
- Precision 500 tablets
- Ketone IQ w/caffine
- Honey stinger waffle

In line for start tunnel:
- Precision Nutrition caffeinated gel

During race:
- SIS Beta Fuel gel (to help keep up with )

After race:
- ketone IQ
- Scratch recovery

My race start time was 5:50pm this weekend. You can find all these goodies

We went for it! Came up a bit short, but I’m super proud of the effort! We were well behind in our goal time for a bit. But we still kept chipping away!

carried the team last night for sure. I’ll need to keep working in the shadows and gaining more strength. Hope that will allow me to come back and be able to give him more help in the next go around.

To all of you out there following us along from station to station, I just want to say a massive thank you! It was so much fun to be out there giving it everything I had while you all were so incredibly supportive and cheering us along. Sorry we didn’t deliver the way you would have hoped! Always looking to be better next time!

Reflections from this past week:
- is a ba and I’m so proud of her ❤️
- is the yin to my yang. So strong in all the areas I struggle and she makes me look way better than I am
- I can’t wait for October 27th. SJM fans will understand
- I feel far from athletic in the week following a double race weekend. My body is just shot.
- The support I have felt from people as I continue to chase big dreams unreal. I simultaneously feel very undeserving of it and entirely grateful.
- These Hyrox weekends reinforce how much I love seeing people set big goals and go after them alongside thousands of others. All coming in with their own unique challenges that they can momentarily set aside while they push to their limits.
- Lily is a trooper. This was a crazy weekend with so much going on. She showed up excited every day. Somehow this little 3 year old tries to take care of me 🥹
