WHAT IS ULTIMATE FRISBEE?

Are you new to the sport and want to learn how to play?

Ultimate is not just a recreational sport, but has many competitive leagues in regional, college, professional and international settings. For more information, look up Ultimate Frisbee Association.

Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact field sport played with two teams using a flying disc. The goal is to pass the disc with your team to the other side of the field's endzone to score. When holding the disc, you are not allowed to walk or run. If the disc is intercepted or falls to the ground, the disc is turned over to the opposing team.

Basic Rules and Gameplay
Teams: Played with seven players per team on a standard field, but games can be as small as 3v3.
Movement: Players cannot run while holding the disc; they must stop and throw it to a teammate within ten seconds.
Scoring: A point is earned when a player catches a pass inside the opponent’s end zone.
Turnovers: If the disc hits the ground, goes out of bounds, or is intercepted, the defense immediately takes possession.
