Cozumel East side is always a favorite!

Unfortunately Sargassum is real heavy on the southern side of the east side. Water is a blood red :( and the rocks are turning black as it decays!

Remember when you are booking your dive travel destination vacation, always check the shop out. Make sure it’s a viable business or competent guide.

Had a person ask me if I knew of a dive shop down in Cozumel. He gave me the name. I searched on Facebook and the web. The address returns to a current Real Estate place. Meh, could be. The pictures they posted we not of Cozumel and they didn’t even talk about the reefs in coz.

I asked some of the people I know down there who are native or have lived there a significant amount of time. 200 plus dive guides/tours I didn’t expect a lot of them to know, but a couple drove by the address and said it was boarded up.

Then some of the natives who have been in the business and on Cozumel for around 20 years - never heard of em.

Not saying they are good, but man - there are a lot of indicators there.

Do your research!

What a great weekend up at Yellow House in Hoodsport! Water was pretty darn good. Around 48 degrees, viz was about 20-25 feet. Great night dive and wonderful deep dive!
