She was up 3lbs and felt bloated as hell on Monday when she sent her check-in.
One of my clients had a good ‘ol time with her friends over the weekend.
Apps. Dinner. Dessert. And the alcoholllll. Her calories on Saturday and Sunday were close to 3000.
She told me she was thinking about cutting her calories this week to make up for it and get those 3lbs down.
That’s where I came in as a voice of reason and logic and said “F**k that. Get back to your normal calories and you’ll be fine”.
I can understand wanting to cut calories to “make up” for a “bad” weekend and lose the weight you gained to get closer to your goal but…

You lose 3lbs during the week. Gain it back on the weekends. And lose it again the next week when you restrict.
So you’re forever stuck in this cycle of gaining and losing the same measly few pounds, “starting over” every Monday.
You’re frustrated because you have at least 10-20lbs to lose yet you’ve been fighting with these stupid 3-5lbs for months now.
You gotta break the cycle. Get out of that binge and restrict mindset.
My client got back to her normal calorie goals, the 3lbs are off, and she can continue forward with making progress instead of starving herself during the week and worrying about binging again this weekend.
If you have the right strategy (and mindset), you CAN eat out of your deficit on the weekends and still lose weight week after week.
Does this sound like you?
Ready to break this cycle?
