St Louis High School Bowling

For anyone thinking or planning on supporting our boys team this weekend here are some details for you.

They will be bowling at Skore Lanes in Taylor. The start time for both events is 8:00am.

Parking at Skore Lanes is limited. Please try and carpool as much as possible. Additional parking may be available at nearby businesses. However, you can NOT park at the Senate Coney Island next to the bowling alley. Vehicles parked there are likely to be towed.

The following items are prohibited for spectators.
-Weapons
-Large purses, chairs, backpacks, duffle bags, coolers and other oversized bags or totes.
-No outside food or drinks.
-no smoking, va**ng or to***co use in the bowling center
-No noisemakers
-Spectators are not allowed to bring in players or team equipment.

Please remember that spectators must remain out of the bowlers' area. Make sure that we are also being positive in our cheering. The MHSAA tournament management has the right to deny admission for those who fail to comply with the rules and/or engages in disorderly or unsportsmanlike conduct.

Congrats Thailan on regional champion!!! Congrats to Merick as well for qualifying for the state individual tournament next weekend!! Super proud of you both. You guys fought hard 💪

Congrats to Thailan Raby and Merick Bartlett!! Both boys qualified for the MHSAA State Individual Championship next weekend In Taylor at Skore Lanes.

Thailan is the Regional Champion as he finished in 1st place after ending the day rolling a 266 and a 280 to close out the day!!

Merick finished in 4th place in a very competitive field as he adjusted well and bowled consistently to make it into the finals.

This past weekend has been pretty busy for your St. Louis Sharks! We finished up our regular conference matches with some pretty exciting matches.

Saturday we competed against Gladwin for the All Conference Championship! The boys pushed hard and won the title! The girls works super hard as well but unfortunately came up short 14-16. I am so incredibly proud of these teams.

The players were also awarded their plaques for winning our start of the season baker match as well as winning Division 2!

Sunday was our Jack Pine Conference singles event. Gracie Lombard placed 8th in the girls division with a total pinfall of 482! Merick Bartlett placed 8th in the boys division with a 546 while Thailan Raby placed 6th with a 570!

Below is the list of All Conference Awards that were handed out on Saturday.

Boys-
High Average: Merick Bartlett- 194
First Team All Conference: Merick Bartlett and Thailan Raby
Second Team All Conference: Harley Mader

Girls-
MVP/Sportsmanship Award: Gracie Lombard

I was to thank all players and parents for your support this season as we head into regional competition next week! Special shoutout to John Mitchell for helping with the boys and to Danika Warner for being an awesome scorekeeper for the girls.

Last night we celebrated our seniors at their final home match! Thank you to Gracie, Olivia, Devine, Alexis, Harley, Hayden, Skylar, and Jacob for your dedication to the team! I wish you all the best!

This past week has been pretty busy for our varsity bowlers!

Monday night, both teams took on Pinconning. Boys winning 18-12 and girls winning 20.5-9.5

Saturday the teams bowled against Farwell. Both teams winning. Boy: 30-0. Girls: 24-6. After this Saturday, the boys are currently 1st in our division with a 5-0 record while the girls are second with 4-1

Today, we competed at the Ithaca Memorial Tournament. Competition on the boys side was tough. The boys team made it to match play, defeating Ithaca the first round. We were then off to bowl Alma for the championship. The boys bowled amazing, rarely missing, but stopped just short from the championship after it came down to one game. They placed 2nd!

The girls made match play, having to go against Ithaca in the semi-finals. After two games they lost to Ithaca but placed third. They tried their hardest all day long and had some great games!!

I am proud of both of these teams for their effort this past week! Go sharks!

Both teams will be in Harrison tomorrow going against Farwell. Boys start at 9am. Girls starts at 12pm. Go Sharks!
