Idk what it is about improvement season but it’s hard for me. Some people love improvement season and I really don’t think I do. I desperately want to improve my physique to take it to the next level but sometimes it feels like I am taking 1 step forward then 10 steps back.
At the end of the day we are all in prep of some kind. I’m prepping for my next prep. You might be prepping for whatever you have going on next I’m your life.
So how can we fully utilize our improvement season?
✖️Stop feeling guilty for enjoying down time
✖️Stop doing ab/ physique checks: homie we ain’t stage lean anymore no need to check
➕Focus on what improvements YOU need to make
➕utilize this time to reset and refocus your goals. Reconnect with your why
✖️Stop comparing yourself to others on different journeys, timelines, and stages. Easier said than done but that Olympian you keep comparing yourself to, is older, wiser, and been training for years longer than you sis. You in fact should not look like them, yet.
➕don’t ever give up. Don’t be so hard on yourself if you fail a few times. It’s all apart of learning how to play the sport and finding what works best for you.
➕don’t ever forget you’re a boss. Even if you take away the stage, you should be proud of yourself everyday. Body builder or not. We are all human. Be confident in yourself at any stage and realize you are capable of doing anything you set your mind to!
