Gals to the Gulf Four activists on 2 canoes paddle 1800 miles of the Mississippi River

Gals to the Gulf is a group of canoers composed of Grace Heneghan, Mandy Dahlheimer, Grace Werner, and Siri Berg-Moberg with the goal of canoeing all ~2,400 miles of the Mississippi River to the Gulf of Mexico. The mission of our expedition is to raise awareness of the importance of expanding access to wilderness travel and outdoor recreation. In addition, we will work to make connections in the c

ommunities along the river, with the intention of gaining a broader understanding of the social, economic, and environmental impacts of the country's largest watershed. We are committed to supporting and promoting organizations that expand access to, and thereby increase appreciation of, wild spaces.

1800 miles never felt so good! Cheers to an epic adventure and an amazing team!

Thank you for cheering us on, visiting us, and helping us on the river. We appreciate y'all and this amazing waterway.

We are forever thankful for the Mississippi River and the amazing folks we've met along the way and our friends and family that have visited us! Cheers to this meandering river, flowing current, sunrise paddles, sandbars, and the last month of this wild adventure!

Thank you for following our river journey and helping us raise money for the phenomenal BOLD and GOLD Program through the YMCA of the Twin Cities! We love supporting BOLD & GOLD and the amazing work they do to help encourage and empower youth in the outdoors!
