Well definitely not the race weekend I had hoped to have or wanted to have. I consistently had a pretty serious s**tty issue with my radiator cap relieving pressure durring my races causing water to sq**rt all over my belts which would make my car suddenly studdrr an run like s**t, loose some power for a moment and then come back to full power and repeat the cycle at the end of the straight away again. I could lift of the gas early and prevent the issue but then Im still loosing power through the turn to soon and slowing down too soon. I started pole in the main Sunday and was able to hold it for quite awhile until the issue started up. Ended up in 6th position Sunday 🙇🏼‍♀️ Because of all the issues Saturday I ended up in 7th. Just a crappy run of luck. 😮‍💨 but there will be more races ✨️🖤🐈‍⬛🖤✨️ lol.
So now the diagnosis process begins. We changed the cap with 5 different caps and it was a constant issue. My luck cant be that bad 😅. Changed the neck 4-5 times and still had the problem, again my luck cant be that bad. Fans are working so that's not a problem. So now Im left with some s**tty possibilities.
1) Blockage in radiator or in system. (My radiator is new though I replaced it this winter.)😮‍💨🙄
2)Water pump is failing. Bent fin or something allowing random hot spots that over heat suddenly and cause pressure build up that the cap then has to let vent out.😬
3)Combustion leak (blown head gasket, cracked head or block.) 😣😫🙏praying it is not this🙏
So Im gonna have to do some tests and figure it out. I gotta get a combustion leak tester and check for exaust gases in the cooling system. Problem is I could get a false negative from what I understand because the issue is happening under load pressure not when idle. Obviously I wont be able to take it to the track and run it till it happens to check this so I will have to settle for the idle check.
I can do several easy checks of the radiator system to see about flow issues.
I also need to inspect the water pump which is a job. 😝
I have 2 weeks to get this solved and my son's band trip that we are helping chaperone is of course this Friday and Saturday 😮‍💨 obviously I wont be working on it those days. Sunday is a annual party for our race community at a friends house so I wont have that day lol. Its gonna be an interesting couple weeks I think 🙇🏼‍♀️🤣😂😭😭😅🤣😂🙏🙏

First an for most I hope everyone has a fantastic day! ✨️🖤🐈‍⬛🖤✨️
That said dont go out on the track an be a complete a§§hat an run into people an push people around and damage their cars in general. Some people yesterday missed the memo about good sportsmanship and keeping a cool head.
We are here to race. We are here to have fun. Let's do that. Lets stick to the having a good time and good race day plan.
