The autumn equinox arrives! Today the sun will cross the celestial equator and mark the beginning of a new season that we get to experience for the next 91 days. Change can be a good thing. Just as the seasons change within nature, our regular routines should also change.
-
For the next 91 days, my goal is to explore new routines, new practices and new habits that will further influence my health and wellness and continue to fuel my excitement for exploration and discovery.
-
My goal with Live Deep Adventures has always been to live a healthy, active and adventurous lifestyle and help as many people as I can to do the same! If anyone would like to join me on this adventure, let me know!

I will begin this “91 days of autumn, 91 days of health discovery” by taking the first full day of autumn to think about and then answer the following questions:

•What does living a healthy lifestyle mean to you?

•What does living an active lifestyle mean to you?

•What does living an adventurous lifestyle mean to you?

Don’t let others define what healthy, active and adventurous should mean for you, discover for yourself.

🤔 Why or why not? Why do you, (or don’t you) exercise?

As most of you know, I’m very enthusiastic about living a healthy, active and adventurous lifestyle and helping others do the same.

Exercising on a regular basis is a big part of this lifestyle.
-
Over the years I’ve become increasingly curious to find out what the factors are that reduce or increase people’s motivation to exercise.

I am also interested in better understanding why some people begin and maintain an exercise program while others stop. Please let me know below ⬇️ in the comments why you exercise or why you don’t exercise.

How much time do you spend looking at a screen each day? How much time do you spend in the outdoors enjoying the natural world?
-
I enjoy reading about various psychology research, especially when it involves one of my favorite topics, the outdoors/nature.
-
It is encouraging to see more evidence through psychological research, that spending time in nature is linked to improved physical health, mental health, emotional well-being and lower stress levels.
-
The most recent article I read talked about how exposure to nature has also been linked to many other benefits, including improved cognition, improved attention, reduced risk of psychiatric disorders and even an increase in empathy and cooperation (Weir, American Psychological Association, 2020).
-
Many people focus on improving how and what they eat and strive to increase their fitness levels to enhance there overall physical health. I am one of those people. 🙋‍♂️ However, let’s not forget our mental health! I believe that our mental health is just as important as our physical health!!

Personally, I maintain the belief that our physical health follows our mental health.

It rained the whole time but that didn’t make a difference. I was still stoked to be on the bike!

Life will always have its ups and downs. It’s how we handle and perceive these ups and downs that will allow us to enjoy the journey... or not.

Even on the “bad” days, remember to enjoy the journey. There is always something to learn from each experience.
