While complimentary movements can be great for creating high power output, sometimes mixing non-complementary movements can pack a special kind of punch.

Ski-erg, abmat sit-ups and box jumps for example all tap into the abdominals but this might not be obvious to the unsuspecting victim of such a sneak attack until it's too late. We're not sorry.

Shout out to HybridX Individual Coaching client Eve Weatherwax who competed this past week at the USA Powerlifting® (USAPL) Masters Nationals event! Successful squats and deadlifts at 385 lbs and a great effort at a 402lb deadlift. She’s returning from the meet with a new competition bench press PR at 95kg/210lbs and a 6th place overall finish in a stacked division! 👏💪

Do you believe you can still be healthy and eat "junk food"?

You know, those brightly-packaged, highly-refined, ultra-delicious “junk foods” from the center aisles of the grocery store?

The ones you might’ve been told to “cancel” from your diet?

Well, I’m here to un-cancel them.

That’s because for some people, junk food can play an important role in overall health, especially when consumed ✨intentionally. ✨

Controversial? Yes.

But there’s more to the story than “junk foods are bad for you — so you should never eat them.”

It depends on your current fitness level, your daily caloric demands, and what level of leanness you really want. If you're diet is so tight that it's making you miserable, it might be time to find strategies to enjoy life AND stay fit and healthy!

Ron and Paul have crushed more workouts together than just about anybody over the years. They never skip:
1) Showing up early and warming up on a bike before the regular warmup
2) Shoulder pre-hab work with the CrossOver Symmetry bands
3) An opportunity to crack a joke
4) Scaling or modifying a workout when they should
5) Core work after class

You can catch these guys at nearly every 9:00 AM class Monday through Friday.
