The Barnesville Shamrocks win the Buckeye 8 Baseball Championship in a rout, 10-1 over Indian Creek. Senior Dylan Blon was the winning pitcher going 6 innings, striking out 4. He was also 1-3 at the dish and drove in 2 runs. Max Miller went 4-5, scored 2 runs, and knocked in 2.

Here’s the updated / final South division baseball standings:

1. Barnesville 8-2
2. Martins Ferry 7-3
3. St.Clairsville 5-5
4. Union Local 5-5
5. Cambridge 5-5
6. Bellaire 0-10

*the new tie-breaker system of run differential in head-to-head meetings came into play for positioning between St.C,UL & Cambridge.

The North Division isn’t officially, official until Brooke plays Harrison Central twice.

But Indian Creek won the division w a 10-0 record, so they will play Barnesville for the Buckeye 8 Championship Wednesday, May 6 at Indian Creek.

Beaver Local claims the Buckeye 8 Softball Championship with a 7-4 victory over Martins Ferry. Sophomore Brylee Curtis has been on fire!! 🔥🔥🔥
After a 4 home run game yesterday against Edison, she homered again in her 1st at bat in this one. Curtis finished the game 2-4 w 2RBI & scored 2 runs.
Maddie Lucas & Giana Chirpas drove in 2 runs each for Martins Ferry.

The Barnesville and St.Clairsville girls shared the team title at the conference championship meet w 102 points.
St.C girls set the 4x1 meet record w Olivia McKeever, Kaylee Shafer, Ava Crum and Emma Gasber 51:26.
Barnesville girls won the 4x8 w Makenna Marley, Addy Reed, Bonita Passmore
and Makayla Vitale at 10:46.60.
Macy Palmer won the shot put 37-10.24 feet

The host St.Clairsville boys won the conference championship w a score of 131 points. Bruno DeFranco won the 400 and was part of the meet record-setting 4x1 team w Ian McLean. Ollie Muhly and Hunter Orum 44.01.
Beaver Local was 2nd w 111. Harrison Central finished 3rd w 85 pts, East Liverpool was 4th w 64, Cambridge finishes 5th w 58.
