Ktlyst Fitness & Athlete Lab

Ktlyst Fitness & Athlete Lab Group Fitness & Athlete Performance training facility in Saint Augustine FL.

You can’t improve what you’re unwilling to measure.

This Sunday, we’re hosting our first HYROX Simulation at KTLYST Fitness in St. Augustine—not to chase perfect times, but to establish honest baselines.

Where does technique begin to break down? Which stations cost us too much energy? Can we maintain our pace when fatigue starts influencing every decision?

Our weekly HYROX training is about more than getting fitter. We’re learning how to manage effort, improve movement efficiency and build the capacity to become better racers.

Sunday gives us the data. Then the real work continues.

Want to train with us?

Our Adult Strength & Fitness memberships include HYROX training as part of a well-rounded performance approach—combining strength, conditioning, durability and race-specific preparation *** Including Simulations!! ***

If you only want HYROX sessions, our 10-class HYROX pack is available for $225 through October 1, before the price increases.

Message us to find the best option for your training.

Patience. Perseverance. Progress.

Athletic development doesn’t happen in a few great workouts. It happens by stacking the work.

Training days become weeks.
Weeks become months.
Months become training phases.
And those phases start connecting year after year.

The offseason is where we have opportunities to build—strength, speed, power, movement quality and capacity. But development shouldn’t disappear when the season starts.

In-season training is what helps protect and maintain what you worked so hard to build.

The volume may change. The priorities may shift. Training has to respect practices, games, travel and recovery. But the process continues.

There will be great training days and frustrating ones. PRs and plateaus. Weeks where progress feels obvious and others where it feels like nothing is happening.

Keep stacking.

Patience to trust the process.
Perseverance to keep showing up.
Consistency to connect one phase to the next.

Offseason → In Season → Offseason.

That’s how you stop starting over and start building an athlete.

WEEK 2: SET THE TONE.

Week 1 was about checking in with our own capacity, finding our strengths and identifying the areas that need more work.

Week 2 was about building balanced performance.

We broke down HYROX station movements, explored the contrasts between their functional movement patterns and challenged athletes to bring more awareness to how their bodies move.

Break it down.
Own the pieces.
Build it back stronger.

This isn’t about just getting in a hard workout. It’s about improving movement quality, eliminating wasted effort and becoming more efficient under fatigue.

HYROX is taking the world by storm—but the exciting part is that the sport is still in its infancy. There is no single “right way” to prepare. Methodology will continue to improve, the sport will continue to evolve and our training must evolve with it.

Before you identify yourself with one event, remember:

YOU ARE AN ATHLETE FIRST.

Are you a runner with the engine who needs more strength and power? We see you.

Are you a power plant that needs to build a better engine? We see you too.

Beginner to Pro, we train for HYROX—but first, we build strong, capable and durable athletes prepared for the long term.

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

🔥 Free week trials are always available.

🔥 SPECIAL ROAD TO HYROX TAMPA OFFER:

From now through HYROX Tampa on October 24, every existing Adult Fitness or HYROX Performance member can bring one first-time guest FREE for an entire month.

New members can bring a first-time friend FREE for their first month too.

The free guest must be new to KTLYST.

WE ARE NORTHEAST FLORIDA HYROX.

And now, we say “see you in the offseason” to Jackson Sizemore

Since March 31, 2024, he has been part of KTLYST Athlete Lab—and one of the very first athletes to walk through our doors.

When KTLYST began, we asked local coaches to identify the hardest-working athletes in the area so we could give them an opportunity. He was one of the first names sent our way—but the truth is, he gave us an opportunity too. He trusted us when KTLYST was just getting started and helped establish the standard for every athlete who followed.

Now, he’s heading to Saint Leo University to continue his academic and baseball career.

From one of our first athletes to a college baseball player—we couldn’t be prouder of the work he has put in or the young man he has become.

This isn’t goodbye. It’s see you soon.

Go make some noise at Saint Leo. 🦁⚾️

FIRST EVER HYROX CLASS AT KTLYST. 🔥

If this is only the beginning… just pinch me.

Our members showed up.
They worked.
They learned.

And now we build.

PHASE 1: BUILD THE ENGINE.
DAY 1: EVALUATE THE ATHLETE.

Before we ask you to go faster, we need to understand how you move.

Every HYROX Performance class at KTLYST starts with our non-negotiables.

What are your feet and ankles telling us?
How are your knees and hips moving?
Where are we leaking energy?
Where can we become more efficient?

And most importantly:

What does THIS athlete need?

HYROX gives everyone the same 8 stations and 8 runs.

That doesn’t mean everyone should prepare for them the same way.

Now we start breaking down the demands of the race and building the qualities underneath them.

Strength. Aerobic capacity. Movement efficiency. Durability. Repeatability.

We’re not just practicing the movements you’ll see on race day.

We’re building the athlete who can run more efficiently, push harder, recover faster, maintain output under fatigue and keep moving when it gets uncomfortable.

Because the goal isn’t just a faster race.

It’s a faster race without borrowing from the next one.

Build the body.
Build the engine.
Build the capacity.

Then do it again.

THIS IS KTLYST.
THIS IS HYROX PERFORMANCE.
AND THIS IS ONLY PHASE 1.

For now — Sundays at KTLYST.

Just like every phase of training...

WATCH US GROW.

Full simulations. Half simulations. Testing days. HYROX events.

St. Augustine and Northeast Florida — we’ve got a lot more coming.

Want to train with us?

Start with a FREE WEEK of KTLYST Adult Strength & Fitness.

Every Adult membership includes:

FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH — our foundation.
ENERGY SYSTEMS TRAINING — building the aerobic and anaerobic qualities that keep you moving.
HYROX PERFORMANCE — applying it all to the specific demands of the race.

WE DON’T JUST PRACTICE THE RACE.
WE BUILD THE ATHLETE FOR IT.

🔥 SPONSORED HYROX ATHLETE #3: MICHAEL HAAR

This one is different.

Mike has zero HYROX experience.

No races. No times. No résumé.

Just a competitive streak, a willingness to work, and a burning desire to see what he’s capable of.

He grew up playing soccer, football and basketball, then spent years training like a bodybuilder before realizing he wanted something different.

Move better. Run. Compete. Be capable.

And build a body that can keep up with the people he loves for a long time.

Mike is quiet. He works. He doesn’t need to talk about it.

Which makes him the perfect HYROX programming guinea pig for his fiancée, Coach Baylee. 😂🔥

You’ll get to follow his first HYROX journey from the beginning — the testing, the suffering, the progress and eventually the starting line.

Mike joins Lisa + Hardus as part of Team KTLYST and the next wave of hybrid athletes we’re building here.

Now it’s time to work.

🔥 First HYROX Performance Training class: THIS SUNDAY | 10:30 AM

Programmed in-house by our Athlete Lab coaches and led by Baylee Bishop, CSCS.

Included with all KTLYST Adult Strength & Fitness memberships.

No hype needed. It’s go time. 🎤⬇️

AJ has been with KTLYST since before the renovations. Before the technology. Before the apps. Before everything looked the way it does today.

What hasn’t changed? The coaching.

From day one, Coach Rob has worked alongside AJ to make sure every phase of her strength and performance training supported what she needed on the volleyball court. Every program was built around her goals, her school and club seasons, and making sure all of the hard work she was putting in on and off the court was sustainable for the long run.

Today, she’s beginning her journey as a Division I freshman volleyball player at Mississippi State University.

We’re incredibly proud of everything she’s earned, but even more proud of the person she’s become. AJ has been a constant presence at KTLYST, someone who shows up, puts in the work, supports others, and quietly raises the standard for everyone around her.

Facilities evolve. Equipment changes. Technology advances.

But great coaching, consistency, and relationships have always been the foundation of what we do.

We’re excited to watch this next chapter. Go be great, AJ. 💙
