In the last few months since my brother’s passing, I’ve been reflecting a lot on what I want to do with The Liora Collective. The mission still resonates so deeply with me, bridging the gap in the dance community, from what happens on the dance floor to what happens off of it.

In other news, I’m now co-leading Ecstatic Dance Midtown Sacramento with Zachar, which means most of my energy is going into building community on the dance floor… not off of it (for now!).

But that desire to bridge the gap is still here. And stepping into this new role leading Ecstatic Dance Sacramento honestly feels like the best place for me to do that. So The Liora Collective is officially “closed” — or maybe “moved” is a better word. The heart of it now lives inside Ecstatic Dance Sac.

I plan on hosting events in 2026 to strengthen the community off the dance floor, but they’ll be through Ecstatic Dance Midtown Sacramento instead of Liora. So if you want to stay connected with the dance community beyond dances, give us a follow over there!

So excited for everything to come, and I am so excited to continue on this journey with all of you.

I had a lot of event promo posts scheduled, but for now, those are on draft, and I am taking a step back to breathe.

My little brother Maddox (19) passed away last weekend, and taking care of my family and myself is my priority right now. Greif is something I sometimes numb with busyness, so I want to make sure I have plenty of space to fully feel it.

The dance community has been so supportive and loving while I navigate this. Thank you! I will be back connecting with people through The Liora Collective soon.

I’ve decided to give Sac Dance Community its own name, The Liora Collective!

Liora means light and is used to celebrate the strength and enlightenment of individuals and is given to those who bring light and guidance to others.

As gathering in community creates so much change in ourselves and in others I feel it’s a perfect name!

Nothing big changing besides the name. The name should be fully updated on Facebook in the next few days.

✨ I’m brainstorming ideas for my next event and would love your input! ✨

To beat the summer heat, I’m thinking of planning a river day. Something chill, fun, and cool. Would you be into that?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on:
- Preferred day of the week or time
- Ideal location — Would a beautiful spot near Nevada City or Placerville be too far? Or should we keep it local to Sac?

Even if you don’t have a full social battery, you are still so welcome at the Spring Dance Community Gathering.

This space is for dancers to connect, recharge, and be themselves. There is no need to be fully "on." Whether you prefer to relax, do arts and crafts, pull tarot cards, chat with others, or just be in the presence of like-minded people, you’re welcome here.
