Welcome! We are a fall youth cheerleading program for ages Pre-k through 8th grade, in the Western Maine/River Valley areas of Oxford County!

We are so excited for new beginnings & what the future holds! We would love to have your child join our program! We are a fall youth cheerleading program for ages Pre-k through 8th grade, which services the Western Maine/River Valley areas of Oxford County! We cheer for our area youth football teams, and support other local sports & schools.

📣 We WILL still be having practice today!

We do pay close attention to the forecast when the weather is like this. ☔️ Today’s forecast is showing that the rain is supposed to clear off by 5 pm. 🌈

📍Regarding Cancelations:
💧 We do monitor the forecast and make decisions accordingly.
💧 We try to post by 4pm to let everyone know if practice is being canceled. If there is no post made by 415pm, it is likely practice is still on.
💧 The exception to this being a last-minute change in forecast or the weather changing as we show up at the field.
💧 We take multiple factors into consideration when deciding whether or not to cancel a practice.

📣 AYC PRACTICE & FACILITY REMINDER

We want to share a couple of important reminders to help keep practices safe, comfortable, and productive for all of our cheerleaders. 💙🤍

🚭 SMOKE-FREE FACILITY

Aubuchon Field (our practice field) is a smoke-free facility, as the field is used for school and youth sports activities.

We ask that everyone please refrain from smoking at or around the field, including in the parking lot, during AYC practices and activities.

We have had instances where smoke from the parking area has carried directly onto the field where our cheerleaders are practicing, and the smell has been very strong. We want to make sure our athletes are able to practice in a comfortable, smoke-free environment.

If you need to smoke during practice, we ask that you please walk away from the facility toward the road, at a sufficient distance from the field and parking area before doing so.

Moving forward, anyone who continues to smoke at or near the field after being asked to stop will be asked to leave the facility for the remainder of practice.

👀 PARENT/SPECTATOR AREAS DURING PRACTICE

We love that our families stay and support their cheerleaders during practice! However, we are asking parents and spectators to please avoid walking around to the back/outer fence and sitting or gathering directly alongside the teams’ practice areas.

Having family members immediately beside the practice areas can be very distracting for the cheerleaders, particularly our younger athletes, and makes it more difficult for coaches to keep everyone focused and engaged.

Parents are welcome to remain near the parking/spectator side of the field, including near vehicles parked along that side of the fence. We simply ask that families give the teams some space during practice and avoid positioning themselves directly alongside or behind the areas where the cheerleaders are working.

This isn’t about keeping parents away - it’s simply about giving our athletes and coaches the space they need to make the most of their practice time.

We appreciate everyone respecting the facility rules and helping us create a positive, focused environment for all of our AYC cheerleaders. 💙🤍📣

🍪🎀 AYC ONLINE BAKE SALE AUCTION! 🎀🍪

Calling all bakers! 🧁🍪🥧

AYC is kicking off our first fundraiser of the season with an Online Bake Sale Auction on Sunday, September 20!

We’re looking for families, friends, and community members who would be willing to donate a homemade baked good for the auction. Cookies, brownies, cupcakes, breads, pies, cakes, whoopie pies, specialty treats - if you love to bake it, we’d love to auction it! 💙

📝 Baked Good Donation Forms Due: September 16
📸 Photos Due: September 19
🍪 Online Auction: Sunday, September 20

To participate, please complete our Bake Sale Donation Form by September 16 and let us know what you'll be making.

A photo of the actual item being donated will need to be submitted by Saturday, September 19, so we can use it for your auction listing. This allows everyone to bake as close to auction and pickup time as possible so items stay fresh!

📍 Donated baked goods will be dropped off at the practice field on Monday, September 21 from 4:30–5:30 PM, immediately before winner pickup.

📣💙 FIRST REGULAR SEASON PRACTICE TONIGHT! 💙📣

It’s officially here! Tonight is our first regular season practice, and we’re excited to get the season underway! 🎀

📅 TONIGHT - Wednesday, September 2
⏰ 5:00–6:30 PM
📍 Aubuchon Field • Rumford

As we move from Pre-Season into our regular season, we also need to make sure all required registration items are completed for every cheerleader.

Before cheerleaders can fully participate in all regular season activities, AYC must have:

💲 $50 season payment received
📋 Online registration completed
📝 Parent Contract/Liability Release signed and returned

If you still have any of these outstanding, please complete them or bring what is needed with you tonight.

We completely understand that things get busy and paperwork can get overlooked. However, now that regular season is beginning, we do need to have these requirements completed for all participants so our records are accurate and every cheerleader is properly registered with the program.

If there is an issue preventing you from completing any of the above, please reach out to me directly so we can discuss it rather than leaving it outstanding.

📱 DON’T FORGET YOUR TEAM GROUP!

Please make sure you have requested to join the appropriate private group for your cheerleader - Littles, Juniors, or Bigs, and answered the membership questions when submitting your request.

Moving forward, team-specific announcements, reminders, game information, arrival times, schedule updates, and other important team communication will be posted in the individual team groups.

If you have cheerleaders on more than one team, please join each applicable group so you don’t miss anything.

📣🎀 AYC PRE-SEASON KICKOFF STARTS TOMORROW! 🎀📣

We’re excited to officially get our 2026 AYC season started tomorrow! 💙🤍

Here are a few important reminders for families:

📅 Wednesday, August 26
⏰ Practice: 5:00–6:30 PM
📍 Aubuchon Field • Rumford

💲 REGISTRATION PAYMENT
The $50 season registration fee is due. If you have not already submitted payment, please plan to do so tomorrow.

📝 PARENT CONTRACT & RELEASE
Parents/guardians will need to review and sign the required Parent Contract/Release. Please make sure we have all required paperwork completed for your cheerleader.

👨‍👩‍👧 PARENT MEETING - 6:15 PM
We will hold a brief parent meeting at 6:15 PM, toward the end of practice. Please plan to be there so we can go over important season information, expectations, and upcoming details.

Tomorrow is all about meeting everyone, getting our cheerleaders comfortable with their coaches, going over the basics, and making sure we’re ready for a great season ahead!

🎀📣 AYC PRE-SEASON KICKOFF! 📣🎀

We’re officially getting ready to kick off the new Area Youth Cheerleading season!

This year, we’ll begin with a 2-Day Pre-Season Kickoff to give our cheerleaders, coaches, and families a chance to meet, prepare, and get ready before regular practices begin.

📅 Wednesday, August 26th
📅 Friday, August 28th
⏰ 5:00–6:30 PM
📍 Aubuchon Field • Rumford

During our Pre-Season Kickoff, we’ll:

💙 Meet our cheerleaders and families
📣 Introduce cheerleaders to their coaches
🎀 Go over cheer basics and athlete expectations
📋 Hold a parent meeting
📝 Make sure all required paperwork has been received and returned
✨ Get everyone ready for a great season ahead!

Regular season practices will begin the following week.

🎀📣 AYC REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! 📣🎀

We’re getting ready for a brand-new season of Area Youth Cheerleading, and we can’t wait to welcome our athletes and families!

Whether your athlete is returning for another season or joining AYC for the very first time, we’re looking forward to a season filled with confidence, teamwork, friendships, growth, and plenty of CHEER! 💕

📣 WHO CAN JOIN?
AYC is open to athletes in Pre-K through 8th Grade!

Please note: Pre-K athletes and any younger participants must be fully potty trained in order to participate.

💲SEASON REGISTRATION: $50

📅 PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Regular season practices will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 to 6:30 PM for all teams.

🎀 PRE-SEASON KICKOFF
We’ll kick off the season with a special two-day Pre-season Kickoff during the last week of August! This will give our athletes and families an opportunity to get ready for the season before regular practices officially begin. Dates and additional details will be announced soon.
