What a NIGHT! 💙🖤

Year 3 of our favorite opening-night tradition did NOT come easy. Between tornado warnings, street flooding, power outages and some serious weather, just getting to the game was an adventure for many of us!

But Royal Oak showed up. And once we got there… THE STUDENT SECTION WAS LIT!

A special ROAB THANK YOU to the coaches and programs who stepped up last night to work our annual tradition of coaches volunteer night for our first home football game:

Boys Swim - Coach Millar
Girls Swim - Coach Tracy
Boys XC/Track - Coach Barnett
Girls XC/Track - Coaches Dela and Don
Unified - Coach Wright
Girls Basketball - Coach Sopata
Boys Basketball - Coaches Jake, Joey, and Clay
Girls LAX - Coaches Kelsey and Lauren
Boys Soccer - Coach Mike

Those 4-5 hours the coaches volunteered turned into thousands of dollars that we are able to put back into RO athletics. Concessions are one of ROAB's most profitable fundraisers. When coaches, families, and boosters volunteer, more of those dollars go directly back into our athletic programs and our athletes.

So to everyone who battled the weather, made it to the stadium, worked a shift, fired up the grill, served our fans, or filled the student section....

☀️Summer Highlights l Alumni ⚾️

From Royal Oak to PROS!!

ROHS alumni Jordan Eyster playing in the big leagues! We posted this past school year she had made the Woman’s Pro Baseball League (WPBL) which began the inaugural season on August 1st.

Proud to say Jordan started in left field for the WPBL San Francisco Firebells. This is HISTORIC!!

We are cheering on our very own back home! Congrats!

Summer Spotlight I Softball Edition 🥎

Congratulations to Daniella Bloom, incoming 10th grader and ROHS Varsity Softball player, on an incredible summer representing Slovakia at the U-22 European Softball Championships in Czechia!

Daniella started all six games for Slovakia and capped off the tournament with a complete-game victory in the circle! 🔥👏

We are so proud to see a Raven representing on the international stage! 💙🖤

☀️ Summer Highlights

Congratulations to ROMS' Maria Samperi (8th grade), who competed at New Balance Nationals at historic Franklin Field in Philadelphia shortly after the school year ended in June.

Maria finished 57th nationally in the Girls 2-Mile, competing against some of the top young runners in the country!

And her incredible season at ROMS was one for the record books and helped her to qualify:

🏅 4 school records - 4x400 Relay, 4x800 Relay, 1600M & 3200M
🏅 3 All-Oakland County honors
🏅 Now holds the most school records in ROMS Track & Field history

Maria surpassed the previous record of three school records, held by Asiaa Laurencin, a University of Michigan track & field All-American!!

After a little unexpected time away from social media (we were locked out), we’re officially back and just in time for another season of sports!

⚾️ OAA vs MAC All-Star Game! ⚾️

Among some of the best baseball talent from Oakland and Macomb Counties, ROHS seniors Jack Groya and Johnny Friedrich were selected to represent the OAA in the OAA vs. MAC All-Star Game.

Congratulations as well to Coach Brett Borrocci, who was selected as one of the OAA All-Star coaches!

The OAA squad came away with the victory, but more importantly, it was a great showcase of the outstanding talent, sportsmanship, and competition from across both counties.
