We had a wonderful holiday celebration honoring the success of our U11 and U13 teams. We expressed our gratitude to our outgoing Youth Director, Ajey Kulkarni, and recognized the hard work of our youth coordinators Vinay, Mahesh, and Ajay, as well as our coach Pavan and the rest of the coaching team.

We also welcomed our new leadership — Shiva as President and Hari as our new Youth Director. Every child was appreciated for their efforts and achievements.

A big thank-you to Sridhar, one of our parents, for treating us to delicious food at Spicy Matka.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and looking forward to another fantastic year ahead!

HCCA Austin Starz – Proud of You All! ⭐

Team Starz, today’s match didn’t go our way on the scoreboard, but there is so much to be proud of. Every single one of you showed tremendous heart, grit, and sportsmanship out there. We finished just 14 runs short of the target—great heart, great fight, great team effort!

We had players pushing through tough moments, some stepping up in pressure situations, and others delivering standout performances. Sai’s excellent knock held the innings together, our bowlers kept fighting till the end, and the fielding effort never dropped.

We’re thrilled to share that our Starz U11 team has completed the league stage and finished at the top of the table, securing a place in the Quad Series Final!
The team played 8 matches, winning 6 of them—an outstanding effort from all our young stars. In the last match, the team put up a massive total of 290/3 in 25 overs, our highest score of the series!
Key performers in the innings:
Rudy Pardhi † – Retired Hurt, 54 runs off 29 balls with 10 fours (SR 186.21)
Lakshya Dubey* – Not out, 49 runs off 32 balls with 7 fours (SR 153.12)
Arnav Sharma – Not out, 25 runs off 16 balls (SR 156.25)
Adhriith Reddy Bandi – Retired Hurt, 28 runs off 24 balls (SR 116.67)
Bowling highlights:
Arnav Sharma – 5 overs, 2 wickets for 15 runs (Econ 3.00)
Lakshya Dubey* – 4 overs, 1 wicket for 14 runs (Econ 3.50)
Adhriith Reddy Bandi – 3 overs, 1 wicket for 12 runs (Econ 4.00)
The opposition, NextGen, was bundled out for 107 in 25 overs, giving our team a dominant 183-run victory!
Throughout the series, our players shone brightly, earning the Player of the Match award in 7 out of 8 games:

The Starz celebrated their first win of the season with a thrilling 8-run victory over a strong SKA Austin U13 side! It was a complete team effort filled with determination, skill, and teamwork.

Batting Highlights:

Aashrith Reddy Bandi anchored the innings brilliantly with an unbeaten *26(20)**.

Siddhartha Valluri played a solid supporting knock of *26(32)**, stabilizing the innings.

Teerth Devani (14 off 12) added quick runs in the middle overs.

Dhruv Nizambad, Lakshya Dubey, Shyamak Nayak, and Ishaan Sharma made important contributions that kept the scoreboard ticking.

Bowling & Fielding Highlights:

Siddhartha Valluri was outstanding with 2 wickets.

Aashrith Reddy Bandi bowled a tight spell of 3 overs, 1 wicket for just 13 runs.

Dhruv Nizambad, Lakshya Dubey, Adhrith Reddy Bandi, Ishaan Sharma, Rudy Pardhi, all bowled with discipline and control, keeping the pressure on the opposition and restricting SKA’s chase.

The fielding was top-notch — Siddhartha was involved in three run-outs, while Lakshya and Aashrith took sharp catches at key moments. Kanish Malvi took an outstanding catch that turned the match!

Final Result:
SKA Austin U13 ended at 130/7 in 20 overs, falling 8 runs short, giving HCCA Austin Starz their first well-earned victory! 🎉

Congratulations Team!

What a fantastic win today. Well done to all the players for their all-round performance.
A special shout-out to Lakshya for a brilliant all-round display, scoring his maiden fifty and also taking his first five-wicket haul. A truly memorable day for him.
Great batting by Daksh as well , he narrowly missed his fifty by just 2 runs, but it was a solid and important innings.
Satvik and Lohit got a chance to bowl today and made a promising start.
Overall, it was a strong team effort with great energy on the field. Keep it up, kids!

Adhav Balaji – A phenomenal all-round effort! With the ball, he ripped through the top order (3 overs, 2 wickets, econ 3.33) and set the tone for the match. His batting resilience and calmness under pressure were crucial — truly deserving the Man of the Match award! 🏅👏

Starz U11 – Fighting Performance!

First off — well done, team! We showed real fight and came within just 10 runs of beating SKA Austin U11. That’s a game that could have gone either way, and our bowling spells kept us in it till the very end.

Bowling highlights:

Thaniesh Sowmian – superb control with just 3.80 economy in 5 overs, plus a wicket to break the momentum.

Daksh Dubey – consistent line and length at only 4.00 economy — kept things tight for the batters.

Lakshya Dubey – 5 overs, only 23 runs conceded, and picked up a wicket at a crucial stage.

Vihaan Jain – 2 important wickets in his spell to keep the pressure on.

Abhiram Nirujogi – steady contribution in his full 5-over spell to maintain the team’s bowling discipline.

Batting positives:

Lakshya Dubey – anchored the innings brilliantly with 33 runs off 37 balls, almost pulling us home.

Vihaan Jain – played a positive knock of 16 (20) to keep momentum going.

What we can improve:

Extras: We gave away 51 runs in extras — almost half the target. Tightening up here could swing the result our way.

We hit a big milestone today — playing the full 25 overs. That’s a huge step forward and shows our batting discipline is improving.

Bowling highlights:

Lakshya Dubey – 2 wickets, steady 5.40 economy, very few extras.

Ishaan Sharma – 4.5 overs, 15 dot balls, 4.97 economy, 1 wicket, very disciplined.

Vihaan Jain – 5.1 overs, 5.23 economy, consistent and accurate.

Batting highlights:

Adhav Balaji – 20 runs, setting a platform.

Dhruv Nizambad – 18 runs, kept the scoreboard moving.

Vihaan Jain – stayed till the end, showed great temperament.

Keeping highlights:

Kanish and Jaitra – great work behind the stumps, keeping things tidy and stopping runs.

Areas to improve:

Fielding: We missed around 7 run-outs and 7 catches. Those chances can change a match — we must grab them.

Extras: 66 runs given away is far too many. Cut them in half and we’re right in the game.

Bowling discipline: Fewer wides/no-balls and sharper fielding will make a huge difference.
