🚨 SPORTSMANSHIP & SIDELINE EXPECTATIONS REMINDER 🚨
At ZIA Sports, we are a strong advocate for good sportsmanship, respect, and creating a safe and positive environment for all athletes, coaches, referees, volunteers, and spectators. As our league continues to grow, we want to remind everyone that expectations apply equally to players, coaches, and spectators.
We have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for:
• Fighting or physical altercations
• Cussing, abusive language, or disrespectful behavior
• Arguing with referees or league staff
• Unsportsmanlike conduct toward players, coaches, or spectators
• Aggressive sideline behavior or repeated disruption of games
Please remember that our 3-Strike Rule is actively enforced. Any team that accumulates three strikes throughout the season will become ineligible for Playoffs and All-Star participation. This rule exists to promote accountability and maintain a positive experience for every child involved.
To be clear, strikes are not just a warning system—we have already issued a strike to a team for failure to follow league expectations. We are not afraid to issue additional strikes when rules are ignored. We want everyone to understand that these expectations apply to all teams equally and will be enforced consistently to maintain fairness and safety across the league.
Additionally, sideline rules must be followed at all times. Spectators are required to remain behind the designated blue line and out of player and coaching areas. If spectators must be repeatedly reminded to move back, enter restricted areas, or continue violating sideline boundaries, a strike may be issued to the team.
These policies are not meant to punish anyone—they are in place to:

âś… Maintain organization and fairness during games
âś… Ensure everyone can enjoy youth sports in a positive environment
We expect adults to lead by example. Our athletes are watching and learning from our behavior every day. We ask everyone to support all players, respect officials, and help us create an environment focused on development, teamwork, discipline, and fun.
