Rossville Area Youth Soccer-RAYS This is the official page for the Rossville Area Youth Soccer (R.A.Y.S.).

This program was started in the early 2000's and has been a program serving hundreds of youth in the Rossville Area for many years.

Hope everyone is enjoying the World Cup. Cheer on the USMNT tonight. Soccer registrations are going great. Keep them coming in. We should have a great season.

We are playing Omegaball at the park tonight at 6:30. Love to have some parents out there.

Just wanted to pass this on. Flora will be hosting open nets for k-8 starting next Wednesday for 5 weeks. It will be done much like our clinic in April. It will run from 6:30-8pm. For those kids who really love soccer, this could get them some more ball time.

Wanted to invite the parents out for Omegaball tonight. I’m sure there are a couple of you who still have your cleats. 6:30, we usually play until the young guys get tired. Us old guys keep going, lol.

REGISTRATION
ROSSVILLE FALL SOCCER LEAGUE

Cost: $30 per child before Aug. 25th. Registrations after this date may not have team shirts prior to first games. The regular fee this year will be $30 per child with a family maximum of $80. Fees help to offset the costs to run the league (insurance, team shirts, snack and drink after the game, officials, equipment, etc.).

Games: The games will be played one evening through the week and on Saturday mornings. If there is a day of the week that you have prior commitments (Church, Scouts, 4-H, etc.), please let me know. I will try to schedule around it. _________________

Season: Practice will start immediately after Labor Day. Games will run until the school’s Fall Break. We will make every attempt to make up weather cancellations so that every player will get to play 8 games.

Teams: We will try to keep teams as small as possible so that every child gets plenty of, and equal, playing time. We try to keep teams as even as possible (lopsided games are no fun for either team).

Players: We have age groups from age 4 (as of Sept. 1) through middle school. We will make some exceptions for some older 3 year olds if a parent is willing to coach.

Rossville Fall Soccer League

Rossville Area Youth Soccer is ready for another great season. Last year we served close to 100 youth and volunteers in the Clinton and Carroll county area. With the continued support of our great community, we hope to continue growing our program.

Our primary goals are to teach the kids the basics of soccer, have fun, and get them outside playing. We emphasize sportsmanship and fair play. We keep our expenses as low as possible so that no child is left out due to high registration fees. We were able to run a free soccer clinic in April to give the kids a chance to try the game without a financial commitment. I don’t think any child left without wanting to continue playing.

We are looking for team sponsors to assist in the purchase of insurance, equipment upgrades, and maintenance. Each team sponsor will have their business name/logo on the team shirts along with a plaque with the teams photo on it. We are asking for a donation of $250 per team.

We are also offering the opportunity to anonymously sponsor a child. We had several kids play last year whose families were going through rough times. We will not stop any child from playing because of financial issues. The cost to sponsor a child is $30.

We can also use volunteers with coaching, officiating, team parents, and concessions.
