WOW Factor Softball - North Georgia

Sometimes you just have to find a way.

WOW Factor 2031 Robinson was ready to play some 14U softball this weekend… the only problem was finding somewhere to play! 😂

We tried TWO tournaments in Dalton, neither made. We got on a waitlist in Dallas, couldn’t get in.
So at the last second, we found a tournament in Alabama, loaded up, headed west across state lines, and went to work.
For the first time on the field together, I couldn’t be more proud of this group. They competed, started learning each other, and most importantly, started bonding as a TEAM.
Were all the wins pretty? Absolutely not. 😂
But good teams find ways to win when things aren’t going perfectly and these girls did exactly that.

They fought their way into the championship game, fell behind, battled back, forced extra innings, and FINISHED IT.

FIRST TOURNAMENT. UNDEFEATED DAY. FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP.

What impressed me was the fight, energy, and spirit this group showed. It’s early, but they’ve already shown they have a strong will to compete and refuse to quit.
There’s a lot of season ahead and plenty of work to do, but this was one heck of a way to start.

WOW FACTOR NORTH GEORGIA — ROSTER OPPORTUNITIES

We’re looking for a few impact players to complete our rosters for WOW Factor 2031 Robinson and WOW Factor 2032 Phillips.

14U - 2031 ROBINSON
• 1 Pitcher — looking for 55+ MPH velocity
• 1 Utility Player — speed, athleticism, and a strong bat

12U - 2032 PHILLIPS — 12U
• 2 roster spots available
• Looking for utility players with speed and a strong bat

We’re not looking to simply fill spots, we’re looking for athletes and families who fit what we’re building.

Our program is based out of Rome, GA, and focused on development, competition, accountability, and preparing players to compete at a high level.

FIRST TOURNAMENT. FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP.

WOW Factor 2032’s first tournament is officially in the books, and these girls are coming home GOLD BRACKET CHAMPIONS!

There are plenty of things from today to be proud of, but there are also plenty of things we learned and will get back to work improving. And that’s exactly what these early tournaments are supposed to be about.

What I’m most proud of is how these girls responded.

We took a loss in pool play where we allowed our energy and engagement to dictate how we played. We talked about it afterward. The girls recognized it, owned it, and then did something about it.

They battled their way into the #4 seed in the top bracket and from there, they flipped the switch.

They competed.
They brought the energy.
They played for each other.

And when it mattered most, they went through the #1 seed and the #2 seed to earn the championship.

That’s what I’m proud of, not simply the trophy, but the response after adversity. Anyone can have energy when everything is going their way. Learning how to respond when it isn’t is what makes you better.

We’ve got work to do. We’ve got things to clean up. And we’re nowhere close to where I believe this group can eventually be.

But for tournament #1……

The wait is over. WOW Factor 2032 Phillips officially kicks off our season THIS SATURDAY at the Softball Stampede!

Labor Day weekend… are you practicing?

YES! 😂🥎

But we also saw it as the perfect opportunity to do something a little different - to bring our girls and families together and continue building what we want this program to become.

Today we divided the girls into two teams and had an intrasquad scrimmage. It was HOT, but there were zero complaints, plenty of competition, and somehow we couldn’t even settle the bragging rights because the game ended in a tie! 😂

Afterward, the grills fired up and the real fun began. 🍔🌭

Softball was only part of today. The girls got to compete against each other, laugh, hang out, and just be kids. Parents had an opportunity to spend time together and get to know families they may not normally sit beside at the field.

This is how you build more than a softball team. You build relationships, friendships, culture, and eventually a softball family.

Thank you to every family who chose to spend part of your Labor Day weekend with us and to everyone who brought food, helped cook, set things up, cleaned up, or simply showed up and made today what it was.

We want to develop great softball players and compete at a high level, but we also want these girls to look back years from now and remember the people, the friendships, and the fun they had along the way.

Today was a good reminder that we’re building something bigger than wins and losses.

🥎💣 BIG CONGRATS TO ELIA DOTSON! 💣🥎

She’s been putting in the work, and today it paid off in a BIG way!

Elia hit her first HOME RUN—and there was absolutely no doubt about it! 🔥

She got all of it and cleared the fence by about 20 feet!

Nothing better than watching hard work turn into moments like this. Keep working, Elia—this is just the beginning and the first of many!

FIRST NORTH GEORGIA WOW FACTOR PRACTICE — IN THE BOOKS!

It was great seeing these girls on the field together for the first time.

They came focused. They competed. They challenged themselves and they challenged each other.

The tone was set from Day 1.

This is just the beginning, and there are BIG things ahead for this group.

Iron sharpens iron.
