Hello! Allow me to introduce Praeis Defense and our first product, Mag Stax! Mag Stax are a 3D-printed, expandable, wall-mounted storage solution for organizing your standard capacity AR magazines and keeping them at the ready, loaded or unloaded! Drop your mags in from the top, and simply grab & slide one out of the bottom whenever you need one! A single base or extension holds up to 5 magazines, and you can keep adding more as your wall space allows. Mount them by your safe, in your garage, or even on the range. This version of Mag Stax is just the beginning, as we have more ideas in the works, and we might even see you at a local event or two in the near future!
Next, who is Praeis Defense? So far, I’m just a one-man operation (blessed with a very supportive wife), learning the ropes of 3D printing and making his first foray into running a small business. I love having the opportunity to create new things, and want to provide products that others find useful, while promoting good values along the way. All of this I hope to do with a spirit of humility, which is where our name comes in. The Greek word “praeis” (πραεῖς) can be found in the Bible and is often translated to “meek” or “humble” in English. Perhaps most notably, it appears in the Gospel of Matthew 5:5. The original word is meant to convey more depth than simple humility, the idea of "strength under control." We aim to operate with a faithfully confident “Strength Under Control” attitude, without promoting or exhibiting the garish pride, overconfidence, and showing-others-up behavior prevalent in many arenas of our culture. However small a part it might play, by doing what we do well, we will take care of our customers, learning whatever we can along the way, and most of all aiming to glorify God.

Oh yeah, how do you pronounce “Praeis”? The correct way is /prah-eez/, but I find /prae-is/ rolls off the tongue better, and think it will likely be most people’s first instinct.
