This Friday, December 5th, the best hoopers in the Battleground League go head-to-head in an all-out war for the crown.
Only one squad will walk out as Kings of the Hill.

🏆 13U CHAMPS IN OUR FIRST TOURNAMENT! 🏆

What a weekend for our Lab 13U Team 🙌🔥

The tournament started tough — short-handed with just 6 players, dropping our first two pool games by an average of 37 points. But Day 2 was a whole different story…

➡️ Playoff Round 1: Underdogs vs. Oxnard Academy — down 10 late, stormed back to win by 7.
➡️ Playoff Round 2: Stayed strong, another 7-point win that shocked the gym.
➡️ Championship Game: Facing a team that crushed our opponents from the day before. With a blazing 10–0 start from PG Abouzar H., we never looked back. First 13U tournament. First 13U championship. 🏆

Shoutout to Coach Camacho, Coach Fahim, and every single Lab 13U player — you showed resilience, heart, and what happens when you keep pounding the stone. 💎

Huge congratulations to Yel Deng on his commitment to play basketball at Grand Canyon University!

A big thank you to Coach Uphoff and his staff at El Camino College for long hours in the gym to constantly pushing him to get better. And a huge thank you to Coach Mullins and Uncle Howard and Auntie Sabrina for their support through Yel’s long and hard fought journey from South Sudan. This journey is proof that when hard work meets discipline and belief, dreams become reality.

At The Lab, our mission has always been to help athletes reach their highest potential—on the court and in life. Yel’s commitment to GCU is a shining example of what’s possible when you trust the process and put in the work.
