Congratulations to our Rockwall Yellowjackets 2026 TEAM Award recipients!

#12 Junior Hudson Holt: Team MVP

Hudson Holt (Texas Commit) can do it all. He pitches, plays outfield and infield, and swings the bat with power. An outstanding utility player, Hudson was a huge asset to the Jackets this season. He returns for his senior year in 2027, and we can’t wait to see him back on Varsity!

#24 Senior Brent Celis: Offensive Player of the Year

Brent Celis (Panola Commit) has been a hitting machine throughout his four years at Rockwall. This season, “Mr. Clutch” led the team in batting average and RBIs, finished just four hits shy of the school single-season record, posted a 15-game hitting streak during the postseason, and recorded the most playoff hits by a Yellowjacket in at least two decades. Brent has a bright future at the next level.

#6 Senior Dylan Cheek: Defensive Player of the Year

Dylan Cheek (Arkansas Commit) put together a stellar senior season. Healthy all year, he anchored the infield and helped lead the Yellowjackets to their first State Semifinal appearance since 2005. We look forward to watching Dylan continue his career at the next level.

#32 Senior Blake Phillips: Pitcher of the Year

Blake Phillips was dominant on the mound all season. He posted a 65% strike rate, tied the school record for most wins in a season, and earned District 10-6A First Team Pitcher honors. Blake’s name will remain on the school leaderboard for future Jackets to see as he heads to Oklahoma State University.

#7 Senior Scott “Scooter” King: JACKET PRIDE Award (JFND)

Chosen by the RHS Baseball coaches, this award honors the player who best represents Jacket Fight Never Die. Scooter played a huge role in the team’s culture, leading with energy, encouragement, and selflessness. He was always there to lift up teammates, celebrate successes, and support others through adversity. Scott will continue his education at the University of Arkansas.

Rockwall Baseball 2026 District & State Awards

We are extremely proud that so many of our Rockwall High School Yellowjackets were voted and awarded District and State-Level Accolades this season! These players were selected by the 10-6A coaches from other schools within our district, as well as other schools we competed against in each round of the playoffs for the State-level awards. It is a highly prestigious post-season high school honor to be voted as a TOP PERFORMER for our school!

Rockwall High School Baseball was recognized by Rockwall ISD at the monthly School Board Meeting for advancing and competing in the State Tournament for the first time since 2005! Our Yellowjackets ended up as State Semi-Finalists and ranked #3️⃣ overall in the 6AD1 division for the entire state of Texas!

Congrats for your hard work, dedication and teamwork this season! What a ride!

What a fun time we’ve had at our Rockwall High School Baseball ⚾️ Summer Camp this week! Big thanks to all of our campers, parents, coaches, graduates, and players for making this week such a huge success. Loved seeing all of our out on the field!
