We unfortunately are passing along the news of our beloved friend, legendary boot fitter, favorite story teller, ski racing fan and just one of the best and kindest friends that you could have, Norm Brown, passing away in his sleep last night at home with Chris and Gregg.
This is obviously a difficult and emotional time for his entire family, but notes of encouragement are more than welcome.
The family would like to invite everyone in the ski community to come join them in remembering Norm.
Visitation will be held Friday June 19th at the Marshall Funeral Home - 420 W. Grove Street Greenville, MI 48838 from Noon until 2:00 pm and then again from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The Funeral will be held on June 20th at the First Congregational Church of Greenville – 126 E Cass St Greenville, MI 48838 at 11:00 am
The family welcomes all of Norm’s customers, racers, friends, and family (well, Norm considered all of the his ski family) to join the family for these events.
Flowers are certainly welcome, but the family has also passed along that there are a couple of organizations that Norm would love for you to support in lieu of sending flowers.
The Clay Street Center in Greenville, MI (913 S Clay Street Greenville, MI 48838) provides assistance and support for seniors in the greater Greenville area.
The Greater Grand Rapids High School Ski Conference – they would like to establish a memorial to Norm in some form that will benefit Ski Racers in the Greater Grand Rapids area – (GGRHSSC - 3410 Coit Ave NE Grand Rapids, MI 49525)
From the entire Rockford Ski Team present and past. Rest in peace Norm…you were one of a kind and will be missed by so many. 🖤🧡🖤🧡
