Even though the final score didn't reflect it, the Raptors are coming together! We tried out a new pitcher, got some great hits, and looked alive on the bases.

We are also looking more comfortable at the plate and hunting for hits! Looking forward to seeing more this season!

⚾️ Raptors Baseball Update: SSBA Spring Kickoff

What a weekend at the SSBA Spring Kickoff!

While the scoreboard didn't lean our way this time, the final innings showed something much more important: this team is finding its groove. The energy in the dugout was electric, and seeing the boys truly come together as a unit was the highlight of the tournament.

It’s easy to forget that these players only began their kid-pitch journey a couple of months ago. The progress they’ve made in such a short window is incredible, and the "gains" from this spring season are setting a massive foundation for our summer lineup.

We had a blast, learned some tough lessons, and we’re walking away with our heads high. The journey is just getting started for the Raptors! 🦖🔥

🏆 Raptors Excellence: From the Diamond to the Dictionary! 🏆
Huge congratulations are in order for two of our Raptors 9u stars who proved this week that they are just as sharp in the classroom as they are on the field!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Maddux Beckwith and Kayden Bonovich for their outstanding performance in the Rochester 3rd Grade Spelling Bee. 🐝

🥇 Maddux Beckwith – 3rd Grade Champion!
After a grueling competition, Maddux took home 1st Place in this year’s 3rd Grade Spelling Bee! His focus and determination paid off, and we couldn't be more excited to see him bring that winning energy to the team.

🥈 Kayden Bonovich – Back-to-Back Finalist!
Kayden showed once again why he’s a force to be reckoned with. After taking 1st Place in last year’s 2nd Grade Spelling Bee, he returned to the big stage as a finalist again this year. Talk about a consistent performer!

It’s not just about home runs and double plays; it’s about character, hard work, and academic excellence. These boys represent exactly what it means to be a Raptor.

Help us congratulate Maddux and Kayden in the comments below! 👇⚾️📖

Felicia Rapp Bonovich Megan Beckwith

Also a special shoutout to Abel Kent who took 2nd place this year! after also participating last year.
