Middle School Softball AND Football made the trip to Irwin this week…

That road from OCILLA to ROCHELLE sure does ride a whole lot better when you’re HAULING TWO DUBs BACK TO WILCOX COUNTY!

WCMS went into Indian territory Thursday and BLEW THE DOORS OFF IT — 19-4!

Emma Carter was UNSTOPPABLE — 4 FOR 5 at the plate, leading a 14-hit Lady Patriot attack.

Jaycee Barnard was DEALING in the circle — 6 innings, 9 strikeouts and ZERO earned runs.

Finnley Davis helped set the tone from the jump, driving in the first run of the game and putting together a multi-hit performance as the Lady Patriots kept the pressure on all afternoon.

Then the Patriot offense hit another gear…

9 RUNS IN THE 6TH to put it away
Madison Martin — 3 RBI
Jayden Brown — 3 RBI & 2 doubles
Lilly Phagan & Harper Knight — multi-hit games
8 stolen bases as a team

Irwin grabbed a 4-3 lead in the second.

That lead didn’t survive.

WCMS took it back, stepped on the gas and NEVER LOOKED BACK.
