We survived the quarter midget mini hell tour… barely. 😅
Friday started off strong with a pill draw of 5 putting him in the front of his heat. He led the whole thing to take home his first win of this season in this new class. The best part of the win was everyone coming up to us not just saying congratulations but how much improvement he’s made this season. Grandpa has been working hard on getting the car set up right and he did just that.
Saturday was LONG and rough but ultimately we still finished on the lead lap & not in dead last. Let me be the first to say, if my kid isn’t listening you best believe I’m gonna make a scene and if it continues, he’s off the track. I got as much reaction from me telling them to black flag him as he did his win the night before 😂 I also would like to add that if dumps your driver, he will own up to it & we will offer to pay/help fix. The reaction he received from Luke Saturday could not have made me feel better despite feeling terrible for how Dale straight dumped Lu in the feature.
Sunday was a new track and despite mom being sick most the day, we made it through! I don’t have much of a recap due to it be fairly uneventful for Dale. He didn’t place as well as the other 2 nights but we still finished the race in one piece!!
Huge thank you to all those who made this weekend possible - I know it takes an extraordinary amount of time, work & dedication.
