Raptors Rally in Strong Second Half Against Raymore United

The Alliance FC Raptors fell 4-1 to Raymore United this weekend, but a strong second-half performance showed plenty of fight and resilience from the team.

United came out strong, scoring four goals in the first half to take a 4-0 lead into halftime.

The Raptors regrouped at the break and came out looking like a different team. The defense tightened up, the goalkeeper came up with several big saves, and the Raptors held United scoreless for the entire second half.

The hard work paid off offensively as well, with the Raptors finding the back of the net to win the second half 1-0.

Despite the final score, the Raptors showed tremendous improvement as the match went on. Shutting out their opponent and winning the second half was a strong response and another positive step forward for this young team.

Late Drama Lifts Raptors to First Competitive Victory

The Alliance FC Raptors made history Sunday, earning their first official competitive victory in a thrilling 6-5 battle against Sporting Kaw Valley Navy.

The Raptors came out ready to attack, with Luka, Lucas, and Luke all finding the back of the net in the first half. Despite the strong offensive showing, Sporting KV answered, sending the Raptors into halftime trailing 4-3.

The second half brought even more drama. Luka struck again to keep the Raptors in the fight, but SKV regained the lead late in the match.

With time running out, the Raptors refused to quit.

Two wonderfully placed passes in the final minutes created opportunities for Sutton, who delivered when his team needed him most. He found the net twice completing an incredible late comeback and giving the Raptors a 6-5 victory!

It was a team effort filled with hustle, determination, and teamwork from every player on the field.

After a challenging opening match last weekend, the Raptors showed just how quickly this young team is growing. Now they have their first competitive win to show for it.

Raptors Show Growth in Tough Season Opener

It wasn’t the debut the Alliance FC Raptors were hoping for, as they fell 0-10 to SBV IP Shamrock FC in their opening match of the season.

The Raptors found themselves in an early hole after surrendering three quick goals in the opening minutes. But as the match progressed, the team began to settle in, find its shape, and play with more confidence.

Despite what the final score might suggest, the Raptors created several opportunities in front of the goal. Their best chance came from the penalty spot, where the shot incredibly struck both posts before staying out of the net. Several other attempts threatened the Shamrocks' goal, but that elusive first goal just wouldn’t fall.

For a team beginning its journey together, there were plenty of positives to take away. The Raptors showed growth throughout the match, continued battling until the final whistle, and gained valuable experience they can carry into the rest of the season.

One game down and plenty of soccer still ahead. The Raptors will look to build on the lessons from Week 1 and continue working toward their first win.
