Had a great night at Crowley’s ridge Saturday night.
Our first night out since the first week of November.
Started outside pole of the heat and immediatly took the lead and within a lap the bolt on the rear end yoke came loose. So DNF
Started 10th in the feature and moved up to 4th pretty quick. Needed a few more laps to pass for 3rd but on the last lap our yoke came out again. We didn’t have the right stuff to fix the yoke so we tried to make it work. but couldn’t quite make it.
We will regroup, and be way better prepared for this next event in less than 2 weeks!
Thanks to everyone that helps us each and everyday and week to get to the track and while at the track!
Let me note. Monday night of last week this car was a chassis with no body built, no oil system installed, no radiator, no gauges, no setup. We did it all in a week after we got off from our day jobs. Staying out until 5am and going to work the next morning at 7am and still made the race with very little issues.
Once we got there we was able to start cutting and bending sheet metal and mounting it down. It went pretty quick.
