15U El Camino was one of only two 15U teams competing in the 16U tournament at the Labor Day Invitational.

They opened bracket play by knocking off the No. 1 seed. After dropping their next game, the team won three straight in the elimination bracket, outscoring its opponents 48-16 during that run.

El Camino continued competing and holding their own against older teams throughout the weekend.

13U Elebario is on the board with their first banner of the fall season!

After a rough start Saturday, the boys responded with a strong run through the Labor Day Invitational and earned second place in the 13U AA Silver bracket.

They came out swinging, played with confidence, and showed the metro area exactly what 13U Elebario can do.

Congratulations to the entire squad!

11 Goatheads baseball teams entered the 20th Annual Labor Day Invitational. 9 were still playing on Championship Monday.

The final results:
• 9 top-three finishes
• 7 bracket finalists
• 2 bracket winners
• 1 division champion

The Goatheads had more bracket finalists than any other program in the tournament.

13U Elebario
12U Ponce
11U Thompson
9U Hernandez

13U Pridgen and 13U Elebario also swept the top two spots in the 13U AA Silver bracket.

Pool play begins Saturday. Double-elimination bracket play starts Sunday and concludes with championship games on Monday.

11U Thompson Goat of the Game: Avery & Destry

GOAT of Game 1: Avery- absolutely DOMINANT on the mound. Only throwing 22 pitches through 2 scoreless innings and keeping the opponents on their heels with no answer! While coming off a cold the previous night, he showed heart and grit by leaving it all on the field.

GOAT of Game 2: Destry- In a tight game, Destry stepped up to the plate and battled to knock in 2 runners with a crucial single that helped get the energy flowing with his 3 RBI’s in production for the win. Destry stepped in as a reliever and kept the Thompson squad chugging along with a scoreless inning on the bump.

This group has been grinding since the summer, and it is paying off tremendously! 6-0 on the season for League and so much more to prove!

9U Hernandez’s Goats of the Week are Cade and Duke!

Cade went 3-for-3, stole three bases and struck out two batters in one inning on the mound.

Duke delivered a walk-off triple in Game 1 and closed a tight game with 1⅓ scoreless innings and three strikeouts.

Jackson was brilliant on the mound in a 5-4 victory. The lefty hurler kept the opponents guessing all game and pitched a complete game!

We had another complete game performance in game 2 by Duke. He dominated the game only allowing 4 hits in a 7-4 victory

🐐 11U Gardner Goat of the Week goes to Eli🐐

Eli came ready to battle this weekend and really showed up when it mattered most! He was making plays in the field, tracking down pop flies, and bringing the heat at the plate.

He laid down a gorgeous bunt to bring a run home, then used his speed to beat the throw and reach first safely!

Way to battle, Eli! You earned it! 👏🐐⚾️
