She is a senior at Auburn High School and will be attending Virginia Tech to major in Neuroscience! Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia

Congratulations to Auburn sophomore Kaycie Smith on being named the 2026 MED District Player of the Year!

This honor is a testament to the countless hours of hard work, dedication, and commitment Kaycie puts into her game every single day. While her statistics are certainly impressive—finishing the season with 29 goals and 18 assists—what truly sets her apart is the way she impacts the game and her teammates.

As only a sophomore, Kaycie consistently demonstrated maturity beyond her years. She possesses the rare ability to take over a match when needed, but what makes her special is her selflessness. Whether scoring goals herself or creating opportunities for others, Kaycie always puts the success of the team first. Her vision, work rate, and willingness to make the extra pass helped elevate everyone around her and played a major role in Auburn's success this season.

Great players put up numbers. Great teammates make everyone around them better. Kaycie did both.

Her leadership through actions, relentless work ethic, competitive spirit, and humble approach to the game helped guide Auburn to a 15-3 record, a perfect 10-0 district season, and a MED District Championship.

The future is incredibly bright, and this recognition is well deserved. Auburn Girls Soccer is proud of you, Kaycie, and excited to see what the next two years have in store.

The Auburn Eagles are proud to celebrate another outstanding season that has been recognized with multiple MED All-District selections, including First Team, Second Team, Honorable Mention.

These honors are a reflection of the incredible commitment, hard work, and determination shown by our entire program throughout the season. The Eagles finished with an impressive 15-3 overall record, including a perfect 10-0 record in district play, capturing the MED District Championship and advancing to the Regional Semifinals.

What makes these achievements special is that they are the result of a true team effort. Every player, coach, manager, and supporter played a role in building a culture of excellence, accountability, and pride that continues to define Auburn Girls Soccer.

We are incredibly proud of this group and grateful for the leadership of our seniors, the growth of our underclassmen, and the unwavering support from our families, students, faculty, and community.

Congratulations to all of our All-District honorees and thank you for representing Auburn with class both on and off the field.

The 2026 season came to an end in the Regional Semifinals, but this team has so much to be proud of.

A season that finished with a 15-3 record will be remembered not only for the wins, goals, and accomplishments, but for the heart, commitment, and character displayed every single day.

To our seniors, thank you for everything you have given to Auburn Girls Soccer and the community!

Kennedy Marshall – Our last line of defense and a leader between the posts. Your courage, determination, and countless saves helped keep us in every match. Thank you for your leadership and steady presence.

Brooklyn Mikowicz – Your work ethic in games, toughness on the field, and willingness to do whatever the team needed set the standard for those around you. You led through your actions every day and never stop making everyone on the team laugh.

Jayne Futchko – A forward/Midfield/Goal Keeper who brought energy, passion, and enthusiasm to every training session and game. Your ability to motivate teammates with your direct comments made you an invaluable part of this program.

Ana Silva – Your commitment, positivity, and dedication to the team never went unnoticed. You represented Auburn with class and gave everything you had whenever you stepped onto the field.

Kenleigh Smith – A playmaker, leader, and competitor who helped drive this team throughout the season. Your passion for the game and commitment to excellence inspired everyone around you.

While tonight's result wasn't the ending we hoped for, these five seniors have left a legacy that reaches far beyond the scoreboard. They helped build a culture of hard work, accountability, resilience, and pride that will continue to shape Auburn Girls Soccer for years to come.

Thank you for the memories, the sacrifices, the leadership, and the countless moments that made this season special. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle. We cannot wait to see what you do in the next chapter!
