Race recap from Natural Bridge.

We decided last minute to go to Natural Bridge & unfortunately it was a struggle. 👎🏼

Made some changes before hot lap/ qualifying and I was too heavy on the loud pedal of course which put me starting 10th.. Qualifying is crucial in Crate Racing & I’ll bury myself every time. 🥲

We made some changes before the feature & believe we went a little too far, struggled to pass cars so I ended up 8th/18.

Rough night for us but the only way is up from here.

I’ve gotten a bit behind with so much that’s been going on recently..

This past weekend I got married to the love of my life, I’m blessed for sure.

Last race at Friendship Motor Speedway we struggled a bit, qualified 3rd in our group, with the invert I started outside front row, we all sailed off into 1 and all of us about drove through the wall lol. Ended up finishing 4th in our heat after getting ran over for 3rd in the heat. In the main I started 10th and got wrecked by the same try hard from the heat not hardly a lap in which sent me to the rear then came back up through the field & got caught up in another wreck… After cooling myself I rallied back to 6th. Not too bad considering what all happened throughout the race.

We’ve been honeymooning this week, I plan to be back after it this weekend! Huge thanks to Matt for thrashing while Ive been gone all week!

Race recap from Natural Bridge Speedway for the Mid-East 602 Late Models. 🏁

Hotlaps we were pretty sporty but of course I forgot the transponder so we had no clue where we stacked up but felt the car was pretty solid.

Qualified 5th out of 23 which put me in Heat 2 starting outside front row, I managed to keep it 2nd in the heat which put me starting 5th for the 20 lap main.

Fired off pretty good and got to 3rd then got up to 2nd on one of the many restarts but unfortunately got called back. I was battling for 3rd and with about 8 to go the power steering belt retired on me. 🥴 I managed to hang on to a 6th place. That racetrack got extremely big those last 8 laps trying to hang on lol Frustrating but could’ve been worse.. we’ve continuously been fast and making the right changes but circumstances change every week. Hopefully the cards will fall our way here soon.

Race Recap from Friendship Motor Speedway.

Man this one stings.. unloaded fast off the trailer in hot lap/qualifying, fastest in group 1.

After the top 4 invert for the heat races that put me starting 4th in heat 1, won my heat race which put me starting on the pole for the 20 lap feature.

Made some adjustments for the main & the track was still pretty good at the start of the race which caused me to be a little snug at the beginning but track blew off throughout the race which kinda fell our way, tried to capitalize on a late restart & was running 2nd with 6 to go but ultimately it didn’t matter unfortunately due to a slider from the pro iracing driver knocking our hood pins out & causing hood damage a few laps before & caused the hood to flap up on me. Had to pull it in to get it taken off & went to the tail. Made it back up to 8th on the top.

Having a target on your back between multiple drivers is never good. I race hard & respectfully because these things cost way too much but the gloves are now off.

We’re back off to Natural Bridge Speedway this coming weekend with the Mid-East 602 Late Models. Hopefully we can carry this speed into next weekend!

Race Recap from Carolina Speedway last night for the Mid-East 602 Late Models race.

Unloaded too tight on throttle, 7th in hot laps

Qualified 8th, car was still too tight

Started 8th in the 20 lap main and quickly worked my way up to 5th & wound up 4th!

Car was still a little tight & was having to drive a funny line to keep the RF out of the dirt, I’ve never had a track rip the steering wheel out of my hands. 🥴

Overall a great first trip to Carolina, place is pretty fun to drive. Racing with these cats will make you better & that’s what we’re after! 💪🏼
