As temperatures soar in the midst of summer, sometimes it’s best to get those miles and smiles after the sun goes down. That’s why we’re bringing you the Glow Ruck!

Our goal with each GORUCK Club Callout is to encourage you to do something that you might not normally do with your Ruck Club. All you have to do this month to earn your Callout Patches is hold one of your monthly rucks between the hours of sunset and sunrise, and outfit your crew with lightsticks and glow necklaces for safety...and fun! GORUCK has run overnight events since the beginning and there’s something special that happens when most people are headed home for the evening and you get the trails and the miles to yourself.

Meet in the back row of the Cali Saigon Parking lot (32.947663, -96.682430). We will be doing 5 miles on Duck Creek and Owens Trail. It is paved urban hike/bike with a few road crossings so even more reason to wear your glow items. You decide how much weight you carry in your ruck. I'll have a few extra chem lights to give out.

8:30 am - 3 mile Ruck/ walk through McKinney
10:00 am - Free yoga at the Brewery
11:00 am - Lunch social at Tupps

Items to bring: yoga mat and lots of water! Flip flops feel great afterwards too!

Join us for a fun "invasion" at Tupps Brewery! North Texas Yoga is leading a FREE monthly outdoor yoga series at Tupps Brewery and it’s a fantastic time! Post-ruck yoga is a great way to kick off recovery and increase your mobility.

The food, cold drinks, and socializing air conditioning after is just a bonus!

For those that need to complete the Firefighter Challenge before August.. Or for those who just love a little funishment. This will be 45 minutes long and you choose stairs, ramps, a mix of both. Come out and join the fun! Most likely a social at Nerdvana afterwards.

Back by popular demand: The Taco Ruck!
But this one will be Damn Good.

We will start at Torchy's (300 West Campbell Suite 100) and do a three mile ruck through one of Richardson's best kept secrets. The trail is mostly wooded and mostly paved, but there is about a mile or so of unpaved areas, so wear shoes that you can do off-roading in. There's also a scenic areas that are only accessible off the paved path so dress accordingly. I saw a group of older ladies on the trail during the heat of the day so don't let this information scare you.

After the fun little trek through Richardson, we will have a social at Torchy's.
