The Texas Reelers Square and Round Dance Club dances on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month. Recently awarded NORTEX Club of the Year!

The Texas Reelers Square and Round Dance Club of Richardson (serving DFW and surrounding north Texas areas) was established in 1975 and is one of the largest social square dance clubs in North Texas - we are celebrating nearly five decades of fun + dance + friendship. Our inclusive club is proud to welcome everyone - new dancers, returning dancers, experienced dancers, couples, singles, youth, and

families to join and dance with the Texas Reelers. The Texas Reelers dance every 1st and 3rd Friday evenings from 7:30 until 10 pm at 820 West Arapaho Road in Richardson, TX. If you are looking for fun, fitness, social engagement, and a great group of friends, then you have come to the right place! We would luv to celebrate and do life with YOU - see you on the dance floor!

Such fun at the Swinging Stars "Beach Party" last night! We had 13 Reelers, so we got our banner back and took home one of theirs as well! We enjoyed square dancing (including plus), round dancing, and line dancing!

Celebrating Deborah Carroll-Jones ’s Retirement
Dear Square Dancers & Callers:
After 13 incredible years of dedication, hard work, and
unforgettable memories, our wonderful colleague and friend,
Deborah Carroll-Jones, is retiring at the end of the year.
We wish her all the best as she begins a new chapter; this is truly
the end of an era for our club, and Deborah will be deeply
missed.
She always has a great story to share either during our dances or
at lessons, and remains passionate about promoting square
dancing across the globe. Her professional singing voice
captivated us often. We will truly miss her duets with Jon.
Deborah and Jon have been true cornerstones of our club. From
perfecting our hand positions and sharing singing tips across
decades of musical genres, to sporting amazing costumes that
added unforgettable flair and panache, they have done it all.
Her legacy here is defined not just by what she accomplished,
but by how much she cares for the people around her. Her ability
to remember names is another way she makes us all feel
welcome.
As we prepare to say our goodbyes, we are also preparing for the
future. Beginning January 2027, the Texas Reelers club caller will
be David Toms. David is known around the area and also has
called numerous dances at the recent National Square Dance
Convention this past summer in Waco.
Please join us in thanking Deborah for her many years of
contributions, not only with the Reelers, but also the entire
square dance community.
Deborah and David are teaming up on a transition plan to keep
our dances fun and running smoothly. More information will be
coming soon about a farewell dance later this fall! We hope to
see you all at our regular first and third Friday dances at the
Richardson Senior Center.
