Announcement and update time

1st let me be the first to welcome new sponsored thrower and new Canadian liaison Mel Winters!!!!

2nd I have been working hard on a solution to get our amazing profiled knives and axes to our friends and throwers up in Canada and finally have a potential SOLUTION. So for our throwers in the great north please reach out.

3rd Just a reminder we do knives and axes for all throwing communities, including WKTL and IATF along with others. I work very closely with Ant's Custom Axes who does amazing handles so if you see a head available and want a custom handle we have you covered

4th progress is coming along nicely in the shop we are finally able to slowly start working in it again! There is still a lot of work to be done but we are getting close to catching up on all work!

I also wanna give a huge shoutout to all the Handy Bladeworks throwers and everyone who supported us at the world championships last week. I am proud of you all. Every one threw amazing. It’s not always about where you finish it’s about having fun, doing your best, and supporting the community and each other.

But first let’s congratulate Handy Bladeworks sponsored thrower Marcia Lozier on winning the knife queens tournament and title at the world axe and knife throwing championships in Tulsa Oklahoma. Congratulations Queen Marcia well deserved and well earned!!

We are devastated to hear of the sudden passing of Lonnie.

He was a wonderful and valued member of the World Axe Throwing League, a veteran, a patriot, and a wonderful father.

Our heart goes out to his wife and children. Our community mourns his loss and we are less without him.

Lonnie started his axe throwing journey in North Carolina. He was ambitious, incredibly motivated, and won the amateur nationals at Ironside last year. He was the epitome of what makes our community and sport wonderful.

We are incredibly grateful for the memories, his presence, and we want to thank Ashlyn and Frank Christmas, the venue owners who were so incredibly kind and were a key pillar of support to Lonnie throughout his journey.

We appreciate our community ambassadors, creating a heartfelt and beautiful video that cheered Lonnie up and kept his spirits high.

In recognition of Lonnie & all the loved ones we have lost to cancer, WATL will be making a donation to the American Cancer Society.

May Lonnie rest in eternal peace.

We will miss you.
