We have skateboarded 1000+ miles down the California coastline, crossed the Florida Keys in three days, now, we are skating 101 miles up and down the Los Angeles coastline to raise money for Ukrainians affected by the war with Russia. on Sunday morning, August 7, 2022, Redondo Beach resident and Iraq War Veteran Andrew Goldsmith will begin a 101-mile, non-stop skateboard journey along the beaches
of Los Angeles, from Malibu to Torrance, to raise awareness and money for Ukrainians affected by the war with Russia. Andrew is raising money for International Medical Corps, which provides medical, mental health, and protection services to the millions of people affected by the conflict, through his GoFundMe page, “Skateboarding 101 Miles for Ukraine” at https://gofund.me/fb327759
Anyone who can keep up with the pace on skateboard or bike is welcome to join Andrew on his journey for as little or as long as they would like. Andrew will be carrying both the Ukrainian and American flags on his journey to symbolize the solidarity of the American people with the Ukrainians in their time of need. All proceeds raised from the skate will go to the International Medical Corps, an “A” rated charity by CharityWatch.org which provides primary and emergency health services; mental health and psychosocial support; water, sanitation, and hygiene services, and more, to the millions of people affected by the war in Ukraine, as well as other conflicts.
