Welcome, Jerry Kokkinos!

We’re excited to welcome Jerry Kokkinos to the Eleftheria-Pancyprian family as the new Director of our Micro/Intramural Soccer Program!

Jerry brings over 18 years of coaching experience across soccer, basketball, flag football, baseball, and softball. He has spent years working with young athletes and understands what it takes to help kids grow, both as players and as people.

Through his work with the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), Jerry has coached teams, managed programs, coordinated events, and helped create positive experiences for countless young athletes. His teams have also enjoyed plenty of success, including six consecutive Diocesan Boys’ Soccer championships, along with the first-ever Diocesan Girls’ Basketball and Flag Football championships in Astoria.

But what stands out most about Jerry is his approach to coaching. He believes in working hard, getting better, supporting your teammates, and most importantly, enjoying the game. That’s exactly the type of environment we want to create for the youngest members of our club.

We’re looking forward to seeing Jerry bring his energy and experience to the program and help us continue building a strong foundation for the next generation of Eleftheria players.

⚪🔵 From Astoria to Olympiakos 🔴⚪️

The entire Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club family is incredibly proud to congratulate Julian Christodoulides on signing with Olympiakos FC, one of the biggest and most historic clubs in Greece.

Julian’s journey began right here in our blue and white. Through years of hard work, dedication, and countless hours on the training ground, he has earned an opportunity that every young footballer dreams about.

Watching one of our own take the next step on the international stage is exactly what our club is all about. Developing players, creating opportunities, and helping our athletes reach their highest potential.

Julian, thank you for representing Eleftheria Pancyprian with pride. We know this is only the beginning, and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.

Congratulations to Luis de la Fuente and Spain on becoming World Cup champions. 🇪🇸🏆

Through our incredible partnership with Internacional Huesca | Football Academy , we had the privilege last year of spending a week at the Spanish National Team’s training center. During that visit, we had the opportunity to meet Coach Luis de la Fuente. He was incredibly generous with his time and open in sharing his knowledge and answering every question we had.

Watching Spain lift the World Cup is a reminder that success like this doesn’t happen overnight. It is the result of a vision that began decades ago prioritizing long-term player development over short-term results, creating a clear identity, and building a culture where every player has a role and no individual is above the team.

This photo is especially meaningful. It captures our late Director, Paul Kontonis, alongside Coach Luis de la Fuente during that unforgettable visit. Paul believed deeply in developing players the right way, and we know he would have been proud to see this moment.

Congratulations once again to Coach Luis de la Fuente, his staff, and everyone involved with Spanish football. A truly deserved achievement and an inspiration to all of us who are committed to developing the game.
