Most young players are taught how to swing before they’re taught how to think.

Situational hitting is what separates good players from complete ballplayers. Knowing when to move a runner, drive in a run from third, hit behind a runner, or put the ball on the ground when the infield is back can be the difference between winning and losing.

The best hitters don’t just react—they understand the situation and execute the job the team needs.

A lot of hitters lose the ball before they even swing. The key? Keep your head steady and avoid drifting forward. When your body jumps toward the pitcher, your eyes move too—and that makes tracking the ball much harder.

In this session, we work on:
✅ Keeping the head still through the swing
✅ Staying balanced instead of jumping forward
✅ Finding the correct contact point
✅ Proper foot positioning for better timing and power

Good hitters don’t just swing hard—they see the ball longer.

Power starts from the ground up. 🔥

In this drill, I break down why your back hip must fire and your back foot must rotate through the swing. Too many athletes try to create power with their upper body and never fully use their lower half.

Here’s a simple test: after your swing, hold your finish for 2 seconds. If you’re falling backward or losing balance, you’re swinging harder than you can control.

Elite hitters and golfers generate power by controlling their body, not by swinging out of control. Master your lower half, own your finish, and the power will follow.

Today we focused on proper hand positioning, maintaining the correct bat angle, and staying efficient through the swing. The goal is simple: load correctly, keep your hands in position, and track the ball all the way through contact.

The less wasted movement you have, the more consistent and powerful your swing becomes.
