Your partner has a responsibility to rebuild trust in the relationship. But rebuilding trust in yourself is an inside job, and you don’t have to do it alone. 💛

Rebuilding self-trust is at the heart of Reclaiming You. It’s a supportive group for reconnecting with your body and your voice, finding your inner authority, and discovering who you want to become beyond betrayal, alongside women who truly get it.

Enrollment is open now. You can learn more and book a call at rootedandrisinghealing.com. No pressure, just an open door. 🌿

Self-trust doesn’t come back by forcing clarity on the biggest decisions first. It comes back through the small ones. 🌿

Pasta or Mexican? A walk or your favorite show? Call a friend or stay in? Make the choice, follow through, and notice that you were okay.

What’s your one small decision this weekend? Tell me in the comments. 💛

“Am I overreacting? Am I not reacting enough? Should I stay? Is this time different?” 💛

If you’ve been asking yourself the same questions over and over, it isn’t because something’s wrong with you. One of the deepest injuries in betrayal is discovering that your perception of reality was manipulated. That teaches your brain that your read on things can’t be trusted, even when your gut was right all along.

Rebuilding self-trust is possible, and it starts small. Save this, and share it with someone who’s been doubting herself lately. 🌿

Betrayal trauma often demands 100% certainty before we feel safe deciding anything. But 100% certainty doesn’t exist for anyone. 💛

What if “good enough for now” was enough? You don’t need the whole plan, just the one right next step.

A gentle practice for this weekend: start a “trust record.” Write down a few recent decisions and how they turned out. A lot of women underestimate how often they’re actually right. Seeing it on paper can help you believe it. 🌿

Boundaries were never meant to be a leer to make someone else change. They’re how we stop abandoning ourselves while we wait and see whether he’s able or willing to.

Learning to take your power back without losing your ability to love is a lot of what we do inside Reclaiming You, a supportive group for rebuilding self-trust, reconnecting with your body and your voice, and finding your inner authority, alongside women who truly get it.

A few gentle self-checks before you set a boundary this week:

If he never changes, does this boundary still protect me?

Am I willing to follow through calmly, from clarity and not as punishment?

Is the goal my safety and peace, or his compliance?

Could I say this without needing him to agree?

Afterward, will I feel more like myself or more tangled up in his stuff?

If you notice some of your boundaries have been carrying a quiet hope that he’ll finally change, have compassion for yourself. That hope makes sense. Just let your boundaries be about you again.

If you’ve been betrayed, of course you want something, anything, that makes you feel safe again. And sometimes what we call a boundary is really a hope: that if we say it clearly enough, or with a big enough consequence, he’ll finally change.

There’s nothing wrong with you for doing that. It’s your nervous system looking for safety. But a rule tells him what he must do. A boundary says what you will do to take care of you, whether or not he agrees.

Swipe through and save this for the next time you’re not sure which one you’re setting.

A boundary doesn’t need his agreement to work.

You don’t have to justify it, argue it, or win the conversation. You just have to follow through, and that follow-through can be quiet. Most of my boundaries I’ve never announced. I just live them.

The follow-through is the boundary. Full episode is up if you want to hear more.

Tonight!!!

After betrayal, so many of us lose ourselves. We check, we replay, we try to hold everything together, and somewhere along the way we disappear.

My favorite definition of boundaries is that they’re how we love someone else without losing ourselves. They aren’t walls, and they aren’t punishment.

That’s what my free workshop, Boundaries That Build Safety After Betrayal, is all about: why boundaries feel so hard when your body doesn’t feel safe, how to set them from a grounded place instead of from fear, and a guided practice to help you feel steady again.

Sometimes it’s hard to find compassion for ourselves. But when I picture my daughter or my best friend in the same spot, I know right away what I’d say to her.

That question can be a reliable way around the self-abandonment that’s so easy to fall into after betrayal.

If you’re journaling this weekend, write her a note. What would you want her to know? Then read it back slowly, because it’s for you too.
